HPUD: Back To School
Hive Power Up Day
Today is September 01 and that means its HPUD (Hive Power Up Day). I been making some adjustments over the past couple weeks to increase my vote power. I removed two delegations. One being a 2500 delegation and the other being a 8000 delegation. The 2500 has since found its way back home but the 8000 is still in transit. I also completed a small powerup of 233 some days back. Seeing as today is HPUD I figured why not participate so I have done just that. Nothing massive just 100 Hive Power but as I always say, every little helps. To powerup your Hive Tokens simply go to your Hive Blockchain wallet of choice. Under the BALANCE section you will see your liquid Hive Tokens. There will be an Icon that you can click next to it that will open a drop-down menu. Inside that menu will be an option that say's Power Up (Click It). Once you do so a new window will appear and you can enter the amount of Hive you wish to turn into Hive Power. Double check the amount. If satisfied click POWER UP and then OK. Congrats your Hive has now transformed into Hive Power and you now have slightly more influence over the Hive Blockchain than before the powerup. The powerup process might be slightly different dependent on what Hive Blockchain front-end you call home but doing so is a breeze regardless of your front-end of choice (Inleo, Peakd, Ecency, Hive.Blog and much more).

Back To School For the Little One's
@rentmoney has little ones that are in school and its this week that they go back. Some of you might remember me posting about one of them referring to them as my partner in crime in our mini nes game posts. We went to the mall the other day and it was understandably busier than usual. The weekend and timing of our mall trip made for a perfect storm of too many people. I also got to frequent a university. I was expecting organized chaos at the university. That chaos did not happen as campus was surprisingly much less busy than I thought it would be. The newbies had all week to join their new campus so I'm guessing they trickled in or most showed up the days before we had our visit. The university had plenty of tables setup outside waiting for the new arrivals. Food, guessing games for supplies and music. Lots of helpful year two and three students giving tours to the newbies. It was an interesting experience seeing relatives and their friends getting ready for their next step in life. I could see the nervousness in the youngsters eyes as "the adults" were leaving them behind to be in a dorm room living by themselves for the first time in their lives. Luckily the university isn't overcrowded which means some of the newbies might end up with a dorm room to themselves instead of a shared room. I wish them all the best and that they find a stable crew of like minded individuals to build meaningful memories with.
