Checking The SPL Markets (8/21/2025)

It's been awhile since I last check the USD value of my SPL assets. Today is the day I do that. Looks like the USD value of my card collection hasn't moved much. SPS is somewhere around $0.007 USD. PLOTS are worth just north of $60 USD. Of course when checking such things and blogging about such on the Hive Blockchain it would be needless to say I also checked the price of the Hive Token ($0.20 USD). None of that was overly surprising to me. However as I navigate TribalDex to see the movement of some other SPL assets I noticed that NIGHTMARE packs are selling for around $0.10 cents. This is insanity at its finest. I admit that I pay little attention to any of my assets or their utilities these days so do not take advice from me. A complete contrast to the total consumption of all things Splinterlands that once was the main attraction of all the free time @rentmoney could muster. Could it be possible that these NIGHTMARE packs be one of the best sleeper assets in the Splinterlands universe? If I ever get my butt in gear and start trading again its likely I swap some things around to increase my Nightmare stack. CHAOS is another pack set I always check the USD worth of when checking SPL asset values. Looks like CHAOS current USD value is about $0.37 or if you price things in Hive about 1.84 HIVE Tokens.

DEC was next on the list of things to check. First via PeakMonsters when seeing if any of my listed cards were rented. To my delight I was grossing 692 DEC a day and accumulated roughly $60 USD worth of DEC. Current USD value of DEC is $0.0008172 which I believe is a strong price. Again I say that without much knowledge of the current on-goings around DEC and Splinterlands. If I were to trade my banked DEC for Hive Tokens it would amount to roughly 240 HIVE. That's not too bad for some passive income. While I was doing all that I went ahead and listed a bunch more cards at 1 DEC each. I'll check in 24 hours to see if any of them rented. I see by the means of checking on PeakMonsters that I fumbled a few of the listings. Meaning they didn't list due to some error on my end. I likely had a card or two in my bulk listing that wasn't able to be rented. No biggie, I'll give a closer look tomorrow. That is about all I can muster for today in terms of Asset viewing but I will spend some time tonight pondering my dive or lack there of back into the SPL universe.
