About two days ago we created a post titled Prepping For Prime Pick. Inside it we went over how we are preparing for the upcoming sports prediction market named Prime Pick. We placed a small bid order for 10,000 GLX tokens (governance token). Our order was overbid, which is ok by us. This is a great sign that the token is becoming more popular. However the fact remains we want more GLX so today we will be placing another bid. This time we will place an order for 50,000 GLX tokens at the total cost of 53 Hive Tokens. Well; 49,150 GLX tokens but who's counting. I think we will also start jumping into SWAP trades here and there with small SWAP orders. This should slowly but yet meaningfully add to our already existing stack of GLX tokens. Our first SWAP can be seen pictured below. Five SWAP.HIVE for 3433.165 GLX. I do wonder what will happen to GLX if HIVE were to pump? Will the cost in Hive decrease? Will GLX simply hold its Hive Value? I think both those things are possible due to the fact that GLX is still a young token that is attached to a very young platform. It's also possible that the Hive value will become more favorable for the purchaser (if Hive were to pump). Speculation, isn't it fun. Just another way to game with GLS through the GLX token.

A small but yet fun amount of my Splinterland cards have sold over the past weeks. As seen above 8 sell orders filled between Dec. 6th and Dec. 8th. Three of those cards were Feasting Seaweed, three of them Serpent of Eld and two of them Goblin Shaman. I don't normally list allot of cards for sale on the Splinterlands market as increasing my collection is the goal. There is multiple ways to do that. One such way is to play the game to earn cards (Hello Foundation). Another such way is to participate in Pack Sales. I have done and will do both those things again but currently I'm selling card A to purchase card B. Card B always cost less than card A. This allows some DEC to spare that will be used to either purchase another Card B or to simply add to my DEC stack. I got a busy day ahead of me today so I won't likely be in the markets today but who knows I just might make time to have a quick look around. After-all all this is a fun activity for @rentmoney and fun is what we like to do best. I should mention the above card sale screenshots were taken from PeakMonsters. $11,400+ worth of Splinterland cards have been traded on the official markets within a 24hr period. We seen 24hr sale surges up to and over $15,000 in the past day or two.

What Is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a #play2earn game hosted on the Hive Blockchain. Assets that have real monetary value are used to earn rewards/ more assets in a robust gaming economy. Such assets are tradable on-site or on many different secondary markets such as TribalDex and Hive-Engine. Don't have a Splinterlands account yet. Well you are in luck because I just so happen to have an ambassador code. Clicking it will start the sign up process. What is an ambassadors code? Its a code that will give me credit for your sign up at no cost to you. Here it is: https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rentmoney Don't want to use my ambassador code (no worries) here is a direct link that will forgo any credit to me: https://splinterlands.com.

For those following the @rentmoney blog you will know we were in the market for a new laptop. We decided to purchase one after our decision to re-enter the world of poker. Not to mention we want one for playing Splinterlands and Arcade Colony and Genesis League Sports games. We had intentions of purchasing new but with all purchases I did some research first. After talking with AI I somehow managed to purchased a 5 year old Acer for $100 USD. It was an interesting turn of events. From looking at new laptops to purchasing a slightly older model. I don't need allot of computing power, ram or SDD so concluded the refurbished $100 Acer would meet my needs. As reported in another post it showed up in an oversized box with little to no packaging to keep it in-place. Meaning it bounced around during delivery. This caused dimmed white-spots on the screen indicative of being bounced around. The spots are not bothersome nor does it interfere with usability or functionality. I went back and forth on if I should contact the seller or not as in the end it was a $100 laptop and one can't expect much for $100. Even with the slight damage caused by poor packaging the laptop was still well worth the $100 USD paid for. However I figured I should at least contact them in hopes that they do some better packaging for future customers. So I did that. They offered to pay for return mail and refund the full $100. I declined as contacting them was mainly to make them aware to package their items better next time. I haven't checked my ebay messages in some days but looks like they decided to issue a partial refund. It was just $10 but its the fact they did so even though I planned on keeping it regardless that puts this specific seller on my sellers to purchase from list. Hopefully next time their goods are better packaged.

Thanks for visiting the @rentmoney blog today. You are always welcomed to do so. Below you will find some of our most recent blog posts. Upcoming content: it'll be a busy time in the @rentmoney household over the next few days. I very much enjoy posting blog content so hopefully we can find time to do that. Lady Luck is calling my name. Maybe our next post will be about the game named just that (Lady Luck) located on the Arcade Colony webpage. That's it for now. May you have more tokens at the end of the day than you had at the start of the day. The Hive token been spiking and dipping in USD value but at the moment on the date of 12/08/2025: $0.1038 USD per token.
