My Japan Trip - Exploring The Magical Harry Potter Studio Tour (Part 4)
Hello there! It's my 8th post in the new World Map Pin community! Trying to do the tag as well! If you haven't read about them, please take a look at this link.
As background, I have done a few overseas trips last year, as some of my friends here would know, and I have been wanting to share some of the interesting places that I have visited. However, life has been busy and I have been procrastinating penning these entries and recently, I revisited this target of mine and finally broke the inertia!
One of my memorable trips in 2023 was to Tokyo, Japan, and during that trip, I did quite a few day trips to nearby cities and towns. Earlier this year, I wrote about visiting the peaceful Karuizawa, the scenic Atami, the nature in Nikko and the zen Kamakura. Then we went to the magical place which was Warner Bros Studio Tour aka The Making Of Harry Potter in Tokyo! For this post, we continue our studio tour in this huge building!
Before I begin, I just want to thank all of those who have supported the earlier Harry Potter Studio Tour posts and engaged with me over in the comments section! I never expected to generate such a great response and I am deeply appreciative!
In our previous part, we ended at Hagrid's Hut!
We were able to enter the hut to get a glimpse of what's inside! It's just like the movie!
After Hagrid's Hut, we got ourselves Butterbeer! After such a long walk, it was nice to stop to sit down and recharge ourselves with this yummy beverage! Cheers! And the best thing was, there was a washing area for everyone to clean their mugs and bring them home as a souvenir!
There were many exhibits in this open space (you could probably tell that it was getting late by the colour of the sky) and there were long queues snaking across the popular ones. I didn't queue because it was just too long.
Onto the next exhibit indoors, we were greeted by this scene!
It's the train platform!!!
Can you imagine they managed to recreate this platform to look just like what we saw in the movies? There was a long queue to enter the train itself but this time round, we decided to queue for our turn.
After a long queue, here are some interesting photos of the different cabins, showing different people and different scenery outside the windows too!
With that, that's all for my sharing for the magical Harry Potter Studio Tour Part 4. :P
As someone who has read all the books in the series, and watched all the movies in the theatres, it was indeed a joyful experience to relive some of these memories and better understand how some of the stuff happened behind the scenes. I liked that they had many interactive segments such as shows, activities, where visitors can roleplay some of the bits of the movie. The studio was much bigger than what I expected so buckle up for more exciting stuff later on! With just one more Part 5 to go, any guesses where we will be visiting?
Let me know in the comments if you have been here too, and what are your thoughts about this place?
Finally, thanks for reading my post in the community under World Map Pin! More to come I promise! :)
P.S. I have also tried to document my posts in one table so it's easy to reference too!

Welcome! Thanks!
The highlight for me was the train. It looks exactly like it is in the movie and the scenery from the windows. Woah! That’s definitely value for your travel’s money. Love it!
