Renewed Youtube Premium Subscription for another Year

Recently I talked about YouTube's premium service and why it is useful. I consume a lot of content on YouTube and also hear some podcasts these days but I wouldn't say I like advertisements in between. I don't like ads because it destroys the overall experience and this is why I have chosen to go for the premium. Another reason why I have subscribed for the premium is because I use YouTube on my TV and there also I don't want to go through the advertisement. I think no one likes advertisement but it is required for YouTube to have it so that content creators earn money. There is an option for the users to choose the premium subscription to avoid that advertisement and there are certain other features also provided as part of the bundle.

My subscription ended today which is the 22nd of July and I started getting advertisements and other features like floating windows were also gone. This feature is called picture in picture on YouTube. I thought of renewing the subscription today without any delay because I use YouTube every day and even my kid watches some content on YouTube so it is a necessity that I can't push further renewal. I hate to go with automated subscriptions and this is why I prefer to go with the prepaid plan. I mean to say I don't want recurring payments and also don't want to lose control with payment deduction so prepaid is the best option that I have chosen. It means once the subscription duration is over then it will be simply deactivated but in no situation it will start deducting money automatically from my payment method.

So as you can see on the below snapshot where the premium ended on 22nd July and there is an option to top up which I have chosen to continue with. There is also a plan for the student but it is not for me so there is no point checking out that option.

YouTube provides three options for the prepaid and the monthly plans, the recurring billing is there. Because I wanted to go with prepaid plans so I thought of going with 12 months because it is the best value plan. I need to pay 1290 rupees in Indian currency and I topped up my Google Play balance. Nowadays it's very easy to buy a Google Pay balance through many platforms and I used Amazon to buy the voucher and added it to my balance.

I have chosen the plan and now it is showing the available balance in my Google Play account. It is slightly more than needed and after this purchase, I'll be getting some points showing as 310. These points can also be redeemed for the balance and it is a loyalty program that Google runs to reward regular users. I have selected the plan and it is showing that my plan will be extended for one year and will expire on 22nd July 2025 which is one year time.

I just tapped on the buy button and the purchase was successful as you can see in the below snapshot I also got 310 points for this purchase. The value of these points is going to be pretty much low and I'm not much bothered about these points.

This purchase is done and the new date is updated for the validity of my premium subscription and it is also visible on the page.

After this, I got the welcome message that I'm a premium user and I'll be enjoying add free video experience while using the offline and background play feature. Background play and add free functions are very much useful and these are the major features also for which I go for the subscription. There are many other features also that I use and this is why I find overall the premium subscription for YouTube very useful for me.

So this is the process I followed to renew the premium subscription of YouTube. I have paid approximately$16 in USD currency, but since I have used INR, the exact amount is visible in the INR currency. I think this is a reasonable amount to pay for the subscription which is for the entire year and for paying this amount I can enjoy the ad-free experience with you for the whole year which it is surely worth.
