Can humans be perfect?
The world is changing every day, and so also are the people in it. As humans, we strive daily to reach a state of perfection, but it is so unfortunate that the more we try to reach it, the impossible it becomes. No one can be perfect; this state of flawlessness, attaining a high standard through continuous hard work, seems unachievable. If I may say, perfection seems more of an illusion because what seems perfect to one might not be to the other.

Just as the world is developing, an innovation or project that seems perfect at a particular time may be outshined and outdated when another, more advanced one is introduced. To me, perfection is impossible. The ability to keep up with one's ambition, which leads to progress even though optimum perfection is not achieved, is the real achievement. How people fight their way to perfection sometimes motivates others to work harder and improve. It can also lead to anxiety, self-doubt, and burnout for others. The fear of failure at times makes people desire perfection so badly. Many avoid taking risks or trying new things which makes chasing perfection becomes a trap that prevents growth rather than fostering it.
The inability of humans to accept themselves for whom they are poses more harm than good, this is why perfection should be balanced self-acceptance. Rather than aiming so high to be perfect, focus on improvement and finding progress in one's career, profession, family, and life as a whole. As humans, we live our daily lives by trial and error, constantly learning and evolving. Some live their lives trying to be perfect so that flaws would not be found in them, but this is impossible, and that's human nature. Some refuse to accept themselves for who they are, and that's the major problem and the beginning of inferiority and low self-esteem.
Another thing that distinguishes us as individuals is our preferences. What seems perfect to someone might not to another. All that is needed as humans is the pursuit of self-improvement and growth which are humanity's most admirable qualities. There was a time in my life when I wanted to do everything right and be in everyone's good book. Accepting disrespect and embarrassment just to be good even though I'm not comfortable with it. As I grew I got to understand that it's impossible to be perfect and the only way to live happily is to be me. I remember when I was learning how to drive, I hated the way my dad raised his voice at me whenever I made a mistake. For that, I trained myself to be extra careful whenever I was being taught, leaving no room for complaints, but I realized the more careful and rigid I was, the more mistakes I made. Then I learned that perfection is not instant, like a miracle; it takes practice and focus. Then I let myself loose, giving my best, and today I am doing great. Self-love is all that's needed to achieve greatness, even when not perfect, but a state of happiness and self-priority.
