Congrats to the 67 participants of #lpud

But…honestly that number feels low - an increase in that number coming months would mean more than the increase in MAU - as I fear that quite a portion in MAU is alt. LPUD is a great measurement!

I see what you are saying, but can't agree that LPUD is a great metric. Know several lions like myself that doesnt really care about LPUD. And also many of the new accounts either dont know about LPUD and dont really understand yet why to stake $LEO :)

My concern is just that we risk falling for the error SPL made back in the days where the growth of MAU was inflated compared to actuals - due to incentives to do so. So yeah, def agree lets work all together to get everyone involved!

We're very open about the metrics

The real key is the rise in overall metrics, that's how you know the engagement and increase in activity is not subjective

While we see a subjectively massive rise in overall engagement across the site (easy to "feel" while using the UI), you can also see it in actual onchain metrics

Tottal # of threads is a big way. We're at 126k threads created right now compared to 35.8k on the same day of November (16th to 16th comparison)

Mmm can't measure new MAUs with LPUD. They don't have enough Leo yet to qualify, don't know much about LPUD, also many people does the power up but doesn't do any of the other things required to participate, and so on. Same with the HPUD.

Hopefully the number will grow when the new users become more than just new users but Lions haha

I agree that it won’t be 1:1

But if the numbers of users that participate in LPUD would grow it would be a great indication of increased commitment

Especially with all the accounts that just say “hey I am new” and get big upvotes for that. Good incentive to multi account

Just for a little peace of mind, the ones saying they are new and getting upvotes are from in-person events so we know for sure its a new unique user and not a multi-account 😁

I been tracking some users that claimed to participate in lpud (and didn’t) and almost all turned out to be multi acc.

But definitely peace of mind if you can identify that!

Yes, I was personally there on the event that made the onboarding, and I know all the other people bringing more users after that. So we know for sure those are real. They are mostly account speaking in spanish because they are from my city.

And I saw the one you reported, and he sadly even tried to copy what those new users were doing haha not knowing it was because of an in-person event we can easily confirm, so that's a legit spammer.
