Peas Yogurt curry(Dahi wale matar)

In my Today's blog I am sharing a recipe of **Dahi wale matar ki sabji ** that is Pea and yogurt curry. Its super delicious curry that we can have with Roti/Parantha.

Usually I make Carrots peas, Potato peas, Cauliflower peas or simple peas with onions or Matar paneer.
But today there was lots of Yogurt kept in my kitchen so I thought to make a dish which my hubby can have it in lunch box with rotis and the I can use the Leftover curd. In this recipe we dont need much ingredients. The main ingredient is peas and curd.

So I decide to make Peas and yogurt curry. The curd gives rich taste to the dish and it is really very yummy dish.


So lets see how I made the Peas yogurt Curry-

INGREDIENTS
SERVING-4

▪︎Peas-1cup
▪︎yogurt-½cup (whisked)
▪︎capsicum-½cup(optional)
▪︎onions-½cup
▪︎tomato-½cup
▪︎garlic-4
▪︎cumin seeds-½tspn
▪︎oil-2tbspn
▪︎turmeric powder -½tspn
▪︎redchili powder-½tspn
▪︎salt-to the taste.
▪︎Coriander powder x
▪︎Garam Masala-
▪︎kasthuri Meethi-½,tspn
▪︎water-½cup


METHOD

1.boil water in a pan and add peas. Boil them for 5 mins. Strain the water and keep the parboiled peas aside.

2.now take garlic pods, tomatoes,onions and capsicum and chop them roughly.

3.take onions and chop them fine with the help of chopper.

4.now in a grinder add toamtoes and garlic and grind it to make a paste.

5.now heat oil in a pan.

6.add cumin seeds, and asofedita.

7.now add chopped onions and saute it for 1 min

8.now add chopped capsicum and saute it for 2 min.

9.when the capsicum is cooked add tomato and garlic paste.

10.mix it properly and let it simmer for 2 to 4 mins in low meduim flame.

11.now add turmeric powder, salt, redchili powder, corainder powder.

12.And garam masala.

13.now add whisked curd and immediately stir it before it get curdled ...stir till the bubbles comes.

14.cooked the curry till the oil seperates. It will take 5 to 7 mins in low meduim flame .

15.now add parboiled peas.

16.again give a nice mix .

17.add some crushed kasuri Meethi and off the flame.

18.Transfer the Dahi wali matar ki curry in a bowl and serve it with garam garam Rotis/Paranthas.

It will taste very delicious with tangy flavor. I hope you will like this recipe and let me know how it was.
