Added Value... .:. #MyHiveGoals 2023

It's me again with overthinking about the value of my posts... 🙂 Sometimes I have a feeling that I didn't deliver much value in my posts and that I stayed "short" to my readers... My content creation process began during the day and I'm "cooking" the idea until the evening (or the next day), and only just then, I "convert" them into the text, or a video like the last one... The problem is that during the day, I accumulate some great points for future posts, and write down some, but forget at least 50% of them... When I finished the post, they started coming back and I had that feeling that I was short with value...

Created in Canva.com

On the other side, sometimes happens the opposite... The delivered content is too much for some readers to grasp and they are "uncomfortable" to comment and join discussions... I think that something similar happened with my last post, where the post received some super-quality comments as the topic was important... and the topic was "provocative"... made people think... and share their views... But just a few "dared" to comment...

And now we come to the biggest problem... Not everyone likes to think... I have to admit that sometimes, I just want to disconnect and STOP thinking!!! 😃 For me, the easiest way is to watch a movie, or some documentary... But, if the movie is too good, then that bloody brain starts to wiggle... 😃

In conclusion, the value of a post is a very complex thing and it's very hard to measure it... My post wasn't super-great, but its value came from others, "making" people comment and add value on top of it! In that way, it wasn't just MY post, but we have to look at it as a whole, post with the comments, and I would say that OUR LAST post was fantastic! I enjoyed reading the comments, and enjoyed the discussion with you guys! Thank you for that!

Happy to see mature thinking of people who understand how HIVE works and how it can help people in the long term, especially with accumulating HivePower and appreciating others by curating their posts...

Speaking of accumulation and Hive Powert, it's time to go back to other numbers for #MyHiveGoals... In the beginning, let's check out HiveStats...

MyHiveGoals2.png
screenshot from hivestats.io

To mix things up, I have taken the weekly chart from Hivestats to zoom in on my results in the last 7 days... I'm more for zooming out, especially in these not-that-good crypto days, but it's not bad to take a closer look sometimes... I did power-up some HIVE every day, but it looks like the Hivestats are in a different time zone and it didn't register my power-up on September, 6th, but added to the amount on the previous day...

On the first 3 days of the week, I got author rewards from the week before and that's why I had those great green bars, and later in the week, I got lazy... But, when you are accumulating HivePower, and curating posts, even when you don't create posts, you can earn HivePower as you can see on the chart!

This week, I have reached another "rounded number" milestone and my HivePower went over 71K! I'm less than 4K far away from my yearly goal! I began the year with a bit more over 56K HivePower, which means that, since then, I have accumulated around 15K HP! During the last 7 days, I have added 240 HP, which fits perfectly in my weekly range between 200 and 250HP...

pg divider203.png

My LEO Power goal is the part where I have missed my weekly goals and by far... If I say that I did it deliberately, I would lie, but on the other side, I haven't created too much "finance" content lately and the lack of author rewards is obvious... The APR on curation is low, so despite having a decent stake my LEO curation rewards aren't that big...

During the last 7 days, I have accumulated only 46 LEO Power, including my author rewards that I have staked, and my curation rewards! That's not enough to reach my yearly goal for LEO and slowly, I'm starting to worry about this goal... On the other side, the summer is over, I will spend more time inside my home, researching the cryptosphere, which means more potential content sharing for the LEO community!

GAMING GOALS - Flexible Goals

I'm playing the catchup game regarding my Rising Star goal... As the goal is directly connected with the number of cards in my possession, I'm trying to open more packs lately... At the end of the last month, we weren't able to open them for a few days, and my goal suffered a bit because of that... I will try to open at least 12 packs more during the week, along with the standard 48...

In the last 7 days, I have accumulated 175 cards in total and I will try to repeat that number next week, or at least around that number... When I checked the numbers in the spreadsheet, I noticed that even with that number of cards, my monthly percentage went up by only 1.17%, and if I would like to catch up with my goal, I would have to do closer to 2% per week! That's the number to aim for!

I have no news regarding my GLX tokens goal... The price is still low, in my opinion, and the only thing that comes to my mind is to continue compounding and accumulating tokens! The staking APR is still very high and I will continue with staking and use it! My goal for this year is reached and everything over it is an additional bonus...

During the week, I have accumulated additional 2300 GLX tokens and I have added ALL to my stake... I know that we should take profits sometimes, but with these prices, I can afford to lose those profits for a potential, greater good in the future!

pg divider203.png

It's time to update the numbers and put them into the spreadsheet until the next week! So, freshly updated numbers for #MyHIVEGoals, on September 10th, 2023 are:

Gratz on reaching the 71k milestone and keep on delivering those value posts. I do like to read some thought provoking posts that maybe challenge my ideas and opinions.

Thanks for the comment! It means a lot to know that people appreciate it!

Compared to your 100K goals, mine looks tiny... 😜 Will catch you up next year... 😃

That happens to me too and sometimes it takes days for me to prepare the post completely. Well done my friend, I believe you will reach your next goal soon, and I am also about to reach my 2250 HP soon ;)

Thank you! 2250 HP looks like a nice goal... after that 2500 and going up up up!!

Nice progress.

I had that happen to me quite a bit too. Sometimes I get started writing something then just scrap it. It's kind of tough to really remember everything if you aren't writing it down at that exact moment.

Yeah, and getting older doesn't help with remembering things... 😂 Or having too many things in mind, it's hard to remember all... Anyways, sometimes is good to "forget" something, and leave it for the comment section and discussion... ;)

It is a fact that creating a new post every day, searching for pictures, and thinking, takes a lot of time.

It's true... Engaging with others takes time too, but it's fulfilling!!!

Avoid from overthinking 😀 and yes watching a movie is a good idea.

Don't worry about your Leo goals i know you'll achieve it just by little more hard work and spend more time.

Good luck to your hive goals 😀

Avoid from overthinking 😀

Huh, I would really like to do that more often, but it won't let me... 😂

Thanks for the wishes!

I think the idea of quality is subjective. To me, I mostly find your posts, super engagey, positive vibes, and always interesting to read. I think it's not always about having to write heavy topics, sometimes, there's excitement in those simple but thoughts-provocking posts.
PS: it's difficult to create, sometimes you get ideas only to forget them

Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad that you find my posts engaging as that is the primary goal when I do them... I like to "torture" people to think and share their views... 😃

PS: it's difficult to create, sometimes you get ideas only to forget them

Huh... That was happening a lot to me, but lately, I do write down the "general" topic for the future idea... Now, I should do one step more and write down also the small points for a specific post to not forget them... That's the next level... 😃

Sometimes I have like 3 to 4 ideas for different posts and I just forget them in a flash, sometimes, I just write without any ideas and finish quite well. Hahaha there's a lot to creating.

Nice work man, your growth has a great trajectory and trending towards 100K which will be an amazing milestone.

Hmmmmm, tricky subject. Personally my mind can be too busy sometimes and overthinking things. I find I am in better form and happier when my mind is quiter and I am busy doing things. Sitting around thinking too much is not for everyone.

I 100% agree with you on that! It's much better like that... It's enough to think 5% of the time... 😂

I admit that I listen to a good part of the posts I open in the morning when I get ready to wrap up the day. Often, even if I'd like to leave a comment, I'm so tired my mind can't think of anything meaningful to say. So, I understand when people avoid deep comments or commenting on deep posts. I might do the same sometimes, lol.

About LEO, it's interesting that it has held its price in USD better than HIVE recently. Looks like the buyback for dividends program is doing its job.

I completely understand you on that... I don't even open posts if I don't have time to comment on them... I'm not sure which approach is better than those two... I suppose yours, as you at least read posts and "consume" the content...

Nah, I don't read them, as there are too many. Unless there is something very important contained and I need to pay attention to every detail. Otherwise, I have them read to me, in most cases. They sound awkward sometimes, but I got used to it. And I have to check out for relevant images or screenshots, because only text is read.
