Water my to-go drink - Weekend engagement #168
This may sound strange to some people, but water is my go-to drink, any day, any time, and that's not because I don't take other kinds of soft drinks. We all know that water is an essential source of life, but that's not the only reason why it's my favorite drink. Any little thing I take easily upsets my stomach. I noticed a long time ago that when I eat food with soft drinks, I usually end up running to the toilet. It is usually embarrassing when I am in a public place or with friends while eating, as I would have to excuse myself to use the ladies.
I was also diagnosed with peptic ulcers some years ago, and my doctor asked me to avoid any drink that had gas; most of these carbonated soft drinks around have gas. I just had to stay away from them and stick with water. Whenever I want to drink anything other than water, I make my own homemade juice.
I read about water therapy, its benefits, and its application a long time ago, and I decided to try it out. True to what I read, it really helped with my weight loss program as I was trying to shed a few unwanted calories. Because of my job and life routine, I eat at odd hours, and this has impacted me negatively. All my attempts to get rid of the extra weight proved abortive, as my irregular eating pattern was having a counterproductive effect on the whole thing. But when I found out about water therapy, I reluctantly tried it out, having tried out other things, and the water therapy did exactly what I wanted it to do. Though the result was not 100 percent, I was far better off after the water therapy sessions than before I gave it a chance.
