A thin line between ambition and greed
Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗
Ambition is the pursuit to achieve something good: a set goal, a particular target, a certain landmark, etc. Ambition is said to be achieved when progress is made in a particularly defined direction.
Ambition is tough; it involves discipline, hard work, a lot of focus, and determination to grow on every frontier, either personally, intellectually, mentally, financially, materially, etcetera, and contribute to a cause bigger than yourself.
Ambition is a beautiful thing; however, it can be abused when defined boundaries are ignored and exceeded. When your ambition is powered by a desire and drive that gives you an unfair advantage at the expense of everyone else, then that ambition has tilted towards greed.
Greed begins when you want everything to yourself, without caring about the welfare of others.
Greed begins when you use everything at your disposal to amass everything for yourself, without recourse to how everyone else feels about it. Greed begins when it is all about "me, myself, and I."
Am I saying you should not care for yourself? No. But it should not be at the detriment of other people.
Ambition becomes greed when we want everything good only for ourselves and every other person out there can be victims of negativity. Ambition becomes greed when our desire to achieve certain results is powered by a hidden and an insatiable lust for personal and selfish gains.
While there is a very thin line between greed and ambition, if we are conscious of keeping everything within the boundaries of sanity and morality, we would have our ambition untainted with greed.
THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 🤗
You are absolutely right 👍
Thank you 😊
It is really a thin line and if one is not careful, the drive for ambition can become powered by greed which would in turn lead to destruction.
I agree with you
