Ourpick Reading Suggestions for September 1st
OurPick encouragement program is part of the @Liotes ecosystem, where quality posts are curated. Authors are encouraged to continue creating content, adding value to various communities, and contributing to Hive in general.

Created in Canva.com
Occasionally, we will select a couple of outstanding posts that we find particularly interesting and suggest them for your further reading... We hope it will help authors as an additional promotional tool... We support creators with our upvotes in Hive, but also in other tribe tokens! These Hive-Engine tribes add extra value to the entire ecosystem, helping authors and curators follow their niches and dreams...

Discovering a secret bunker by @haastrecht
My friend, until today I thought I was adventurous 😅 but you go even further. This place is truly impressive, and I'm so glad you went to the most hidden corners to give us these photographs. That Saw graffiti was really fun, although at the same time it's a little scary to have it there.

Xanadu Mansion by @mdrguez
This is what I would call a perfect living place! I don't know what would be the main reason for that, as there are many... Firstly, that woodwork (stairs, ceilings) is amazing... Secondly, the house looks elegant from the outside too... Thirdly, look at that location! The sea, cliff, golf court!!! I would like to be in the shoes/slippers of Mr. Dupont 100 years ago... 😂

Self-custody - an important first step in web3 by @web3creative
Thanks for reminding us that HIVE (and crypto) isn't only about upvoting and downvoting, but much more important as of self-custody and owning your data... From your personal example, and Jon's example, it is obvious how centralized systems can screw up your work with just one click of a button...
Having your data OWNED has risks (keys and self-custody), but on the other side, it prevents things from happening which can be done by someone else (middle man, or the "real owner" of OUR data (YT, FB, IG, etc.))
Learning about keys and how to store them is worth the hassle!!

There are friends who bring us joy, La Perra Esa is one of them! [EN]//[ES] by @fmbs25
I loved the way you named it: The Division of Assets hahaha, but you're so right, you've left out the best part, and if I remember correctly, I already knew part of this story through your #TBT. August has passed and we haven't seen each other yet, but there's no doubt that you're a happy and fun person, it's clear that it's very easy to love you Francis, and friends like Pablo certify it... I loved the 15-year difference between the photos, I can't believe that such a long-lasting friendship begins with such immortal phrases as "That Bitch" 🤣

When you live permanently in the summer, the coast is… [Esp/Eng] by @jlufer
It is an ideal place to shelter from the summer heat while enjoying the colours and beautiful walks. For people who, as you mention, are affected by the summer heat, there will always be cooler places on the riverbank.
I am glad that you can tolerate the summer well, and even that you try to walk on those days; not everyone can do that. The fact that your granddaughter loves it means that you can go on family walks and have a great time together.
Like her, I also look at the shapes of the clouds, which are more brilliant in summer. And those trees full of flowers are like a painted picture. Beautiful! Summer will soon be here, and you will be able to enjoy those same views or even better ones.

Big City Mantis by @sketch.and.jam
I saw mantises in my garden when I lived in Argentina, but I had never seen one so big and so calm, so much so that it was very comfortable in your hand. I think it knew you saved it, judging by the spider web on its legs, and you were also very kind to it by taking it to a safe place. It must have sensed that.
It's beautiful, and they're very elegant insects, so to speak. They quickly blend into their surroundings and look for food. I've always liked seeing them; I find them very cute. It trusted you, and that was important. Thank you for saving it.
