A Very Long Way To Go - Electric Vehicles More Expensive To Run Compared To Combustion Engines by @cryptoandcoffee

image.png

According to your research, I'm now even more convinced that my idea of running a small recharging station for EVs, powered by solar panels, makes sense... 😃 What you described was more or less the idea I had, as of higher demand for energy in general, and potential price rises in the future...
Why compete with AI when you can provide the energy they will need more... the same goes for EVs... I don't see lower prices of energy in the near/mid-term future...

Shopping for Real Estate: Financial Acumen or Dumb Luck? by @riverflows

image.png

You really did a lot of financial juggling to get to your dream home! I bought my first real estate 2 years ago, with 45 years under my belt... No mortgage, just a "small" bank loan that will be paid in 5-6 years... The idea behind it was similar to yours, to be as much as possible "debt-free", which is a rarity nowadays! But...
All my life, I was driven by the idea NOT to take loans and to try to buy things ONLY when I have money for them, but I recently changed my mind... Reading your post, I could conclude that you had similar views regarding debt, but in the case of real estate, I suppose it would be better to jump into a mortgage, as flipping the RE for 4-6x of the original price would be a great deal... Of course, you never know what could happen tomorrow...

New Edition of Manganest by @jcrodriguez

I love that you go to these events, the photos you take, and that you enjoy them too. It’s also a way of promoting them and raising awareness of this sort of show. I really appreciate the work of all those young people who make their costumes; it takes a lot of time, dedication and money, and they do it because they’re truly passionate about it, I consider it art. To be honest, they all look spectacular.
What’s more, you managed to go both days and brought it all here for us, you’ve done a brilliant job, producing a flawless, high-quality report on the event.

Beyond the Pages | Meeting Writers, Publishers, and Literacy Advocates at the East Java Literacy Summit by @macchiata

That sounds like an interesting event to attend! I was at some book fairs before, but usually, they would be on a much bigger scale, which is a bit intimidating, especially as many times, bookworms are antisocial and introverted... 😃
But, looking at your photos and your experience, it looks like this was a "modest" event where you could connect with many authors and writing "geeks". 😃

Soñar una y otra vez la misma pesadilla (Esp/Eng) by @popurri

image.png

It’s absolutely true: for a dream to be a nightmare, it doesn’t need to feature monsters or strange, terrifying creatures; rather, it’s what we feel in the dream. I always say that those emotions are what matter when it comes to picking up on clues or messages within them.
In this case, I think you and your sisters are right; your subconscious was warning you that you were drifting too far away but that, for some reason, you shouldn’t do so. Imagine that your brain created a dream in which you were so far away that you didn’t realise your family had moved, or something worse.
I’m glad you shared a real-life story, an experience you went through that felt like a nightmare and that you’ve overcome. That’s really good.

Movie Soundtracks [ESP/ENG] (Topic of the month) by @carmen1659

image.png

You’ve chosen some spectacular soundtracks, each with its own style. In the first case, I remember watching the film when I turned 16; for my birthday, my mum rented it from a video shop so I could watch it with my friends. The singer has such a wonderful voice.
The second one, although it’s from a time before I was born, that actor and singer fascinates me; he dances brilliantly and is very handsome. I loved both stories.
I remember Ghostbusters; I used to watch the series and had a lot of fun. Its soundtrack is very special, and it’s brilliant that that song played to cheer on the parade and that you were dressed up like that. I loved that story.
