What's Happening with Hive? Reflections on the Price Drop and the Current State of Our Hive
Hello everyone, community.
Today I'm not here with the typical "everything's fine" post or sharing my morning coffee. Today I feel it's necessary to talk about what we're all seeing on the charts and discussing in the groups: the price of HIVE.
I know that for many of us who are active here, seeing the token hovering around $0.09 - $0.10 (after having been much higher this year) generates a mix of frustration, fear, and, above all, many questions. Why did it drop so much? Is the platform dying?

Here I share my personal analysis of what's happening and why, despite the losses, I'm still here.
The Global Context: We Are Not an Island
December 2025 has been a month of "settling scores" for the entire crypto market. Although Bitcoin recently approached $100k, we've seen a massive correction that has dragged altcoins down with it. Institutional confidence has cooled somewhat due to macroeconomic factors and the outflow of funds from ETFs. When the giants sneeze, we catch the flu.Low Liquidity and Selling Pressure
HIVE is an incredible blockchain, but compared to other ecosystems, our liquidity on exchanges remains a challenge. In times of panic or market correction, large sell orders have a much stronger impact on our price than on coins with higher volume. This creates a snowball effect that has brought us to these levels. The Visibility Dilemma
Despite being technologically superior to many networks (fast transactions, no fees, a real community), we continue to struggle to capture the attention of large investors. The market today seems more interested in Artificial Intelligence and ecosystems with momentary hype, while Hive remains a hidden gem that sometimes feels too isolated.
How is the platform really doing? This is where I want to separate price from value.
Constant Development: The communities remain active, developers continue to refine the dApps, and the HBD ecosystem (our stablecoin) has shown impressive resilience.
Resilience: This isn't the first time we've seen HIVE hit a rough patch. We've been through this before, and the hive always finds a way to regenerate.
Real Content: Unlike other networks that become bot deserts when the price drops, here I'm still reading real people, sharing stories, and building something new.
My Personal Conclusion: I won't lie, seeing my wallet at these levels hurts. But if there's one thing I've learned in this world, it's that price is cyclical, but value is permanent. Hive continues to function exactly as it did when the token was worth $1.00: fast, decentralized, and ours.
Is this a difficult time? Yes. Is this the end? I don't think so. For those of us who are here for the technology and the community, this is the time to build quietly, accumulate if possible, and above all, not let the chart erase what we have achieved as an ecosystem.
