Can Cardano or Solana take Ethereum's place?

Heavy is the head that wears the crown, Ethereum is no doubt the king of all altcoins and definitely, there are going to be other altcoins who would love to take Ethereum just like Solana and Cardano who call themselves the Ethereum killer but my question is can they or any of them take Ethereum place, Ethereum might be struggling with high gas fees or transaction fees issues but still a lot of crypto projects and NFTs still build their projects on the Ethereum blockchain because it is decentralized and very secured despite there scalability issues.

Cardano is a decentralized proof-of-stake blockchain platform with smart contract support just like Ethereum and just like Ethereum the founder and creator of Cardano (ADA) Charles Hoskinson was the co-founder of Ethereum. Cardano is scalable and has low cost on transactions or gas fees compared to Ethereum but whether they like it or not Ethereum still remains king of altcoins, and in recent times Solana has captured the heart of the crypto community, especially airdrop hunters due to all the airdrops on from projects built on the Solana blockchain, one of them $Wen, about a day or three days ago gave airdrops to active Solana wallets.

All these qualities and incentives from Solana and Cardano are great but I do not think they would be enough to take Ethereum's place.
