Beware of Scam tokens and Phishing Links: Anyone can be a victim
Phishing Links:
I used to always say this words "IT CAN NEVER BE ME", until the day it was me sometime last year, when I got scammed through a phishing link. I'm always cautious when it comes to clicking links especially when it is a link that requires me to connect my crypto wallet, in fact I would say I don't click on links from an unknown source but on the day I got scammed I didn't not know that the trusted source where I get my Airdrops links on Discord was hacked and I clicked on the link that was shared in the group, without knowing it was a phishing link.
The link looked exactly like the galxe website, I connected my wallet as usual, and did the Airdrop task required, when it got to the claim reward part, it asked me to approve different blockchain networks to be able to claim my XP or Airdrops points, if you are into airdrop hunting you would understand what I mean. I noticed too late that the transaction kept falling and it kept requesting that I should approve other networks to be able to claim my reward, which i did until i realized galxe would never ask me to approve multiple networks to claim one reward. Just a split-second mistake and my wallet was almost wiped out until I revoked all the approval to my wallet Here and kicked out the hacker from my wallet.
Scam Tokens:
A friend texted me yesterday that she found an Airdropped token in her wallet after she installed her Rabby wallet in her phone about two or three weeks ago. She said she checked BSC scan because the Token was built on BEP20 (BSC) network. She found out that the Token was Airdropped to her 200+ days ago, on Rabby wallet she could not swap it, she imported her wallet to OKX, but the Token did not show, when she imported it on Metamask it showed but the Token was not listed on any centralized exchange (CEX) or any known Decentralized exchanges (DEX).
I told her to be very careful with the Token and that she should forget about the Token and not interact with it again because hackers send scam Tokens to random wallets and wait for you to interact with the Token and then boom you wallet is wiped out, download GoPlus extension or Wallet Guard extension on your Laptop, for extra protection from phishing links and scam projects. Be careful out there the crypto space is now wild, with different scammers and rug pulls draining people's hard-earned money.
