W6KPC - maybe the second largest ever built Ham Radio antenna
This monster for the 20 meter band was truly mind-blowing.
I have visited Frank in his home in Bakersfield, California in April 1990.

Reading about his technical achievements and the admiration from his peers was humbling.
Legends like Frank don’t just build antennas, they build legacies.
Wow, that must’ve been an unforgettable visit!
Seeing something of that scale in person, especially in the golden era of ham radio, absolutely legendary.
Thanks for sharing such a rare memory!
Ham radio is a great hobby and service that involves using radio technology to communicate over designated radio frequencies. Hams can communicate with each other across town, around the world, or even with satellites in space. Entertaining
Quite interesting, I bet it had great coverage. What distance would that reach?
Any distance, no limits. Antipods, or even a long path ( like 60-90% of the circle around globe) is an easy-peasy game
i Guess so
Quite interesting
