How It All Started With Fred My Childhood Friend

I could remember the good old days when we had no problems and challenges, those were the times our smiles were real, and our friendships were true.

Just like other peers in our area at that time while we were still growing up, we loved ourselves and we were true with our feelings. You could tell that our friendship were real because at that time we had nothing interesting to attract friends, unlike now when friends follow you because of the potential benefits they stand to gain from the friendship.

Fred was my closest friend among all my friends at that time while we were growing up. We shared everything we had with ourselves from the little we had.

I have countless memories with him, as we could be seen together at all times as if we were twins, lol. I taught we were inseparable, little did I know that women and money were all it would take to cause this separation, lol.

Fred Started Flexing His Money

It all came to past when Fred came back from Delta State (A state in Nigeria) after spending about 5 years there. He left his parents house to stay with his uncle at Warri, Delta State, and we barely communicated because he wasn't having a phone when he left.

Fred came back to his hood where we all grew up, and to our greatest surprise he was now the biggest boy in the area. His money were extremely massive, as he spent it like it was nothing.

As his old friend we were cool, but Fred refused to link up or associate with other boys he grew with back in the hood. I was very excited that my friend has made it big.

I would attest to the fact that I enjoyed my time with him when he just arrived. He would always pay for everything I ate or drank. He even offered to arrange some girls for me all in the name of pleasure.

I was happy but at the same time curious about how Fred made it this big within a space of barely 5 years. I asked him to put me through on what he does, and I told him that I was ready to do anything to be like him.

He initially told me that it was the money he had been saving all these years, but he knew I wasn't buying that lie because of the way he spent his money.

After seeing my seriousness and curiousity to know what he does, he finally told me that he does online fraud and that he scams people of their hard earned money. He said it was one of his new friends that thought him how to do fraud, and he was willing to do me the favor of teaching me too.

I was dumbfounded, because I never knew that my friend could gather the courage to ignore other people feelings and scam them of their hard earned money. He was angry that I was disappointed in him, as he started reminding me of he hardship he went through, and how our government isn't helping youths.

I understand how our government and country isn't that favourable, especially for the youth, but I was trained to have a conscience and respect what others have achieved.

Fred was disappointed in me for not supporting his ways of making money. I tried my best to assure him that I don't have a problem with him, and that I would always be his friend.

But the friendship between Fred and I went down drastically from bad to worst, as we barely communicated again. I didn't even realize that we had gone this far away from each other, until the day he drove past me with his car after I sighted and stopped to greet him.

To cut the long story short Fred and I are not even communicating again, even though I have nothing against him. I just don't have the mimd he has to scam other for money that I won't even spend well.

Bienvenido a una de mis sesiones semanales con la comunidad de estudiantes de Hive. Te contaría sobre un amigo mío que hizo su dinero ilegalmente y cómo afectó nuestra relación.

Cómo empezó todo con Fred, mi amigo de la infancia

Podía recordar los buenos viejos tiempos cuando no teníamos problemas ni desafíos, esos eran los tiempos en que nuestras sonrisas eran reales y nuestras amistades eran verdaderas.

Al igual que otros compañeros en nuestra área en ese momento, cuando aún estábamos creciendo, nos amábamos a nosotros mismos y éramos sinceros con nuestros sentimientos. Podrías decir que nuestra amistad era real porque en ese momento no teníamos nada interesante para atraer amigos, a diferencia de ahora que los amigos te siguen debido a los beneficios potenciales que pueden obtener de la amistad.

Fred era mi amigo más cercano entre todos mis amigos en ese momento mientras crecíamos. Compartimos todo lo que teníamos con nosotros mismos de lo poco que teníamos.

Tengo innumerables recuerdos con él, ya que se nos podía ver juntos en todo momento como si fuéramos gemelos, jejeje. Enseñé que éramos inseparables, no sabía que las mujeres y el dinero eran todo lo que se necesitaría para causar esta separación, jajaja.

Fred comenzó a flexionar su dinero

Todo sucedió cuando Fred regresó de Delta State (un estado de Nigeria) después de pasar unos 5 años allí. Dejó la casa de sus padres para quedarse con su tío en Warri, estado de Delta, y apenas nos comunicamos porque no tenía teléfono cuando se fue.

Fred volvió a su barrio donde todos crecimos y, para nuestra mayor sorpresa, ahora era el chico más grande de la zona. Su dinero era extremadamente masivo, ya que lo gastó como si nada.

Como su viejo amigo, éramos geniales, pero Fred se negó a vincularse o asociarse con otros niños con los que creció en el barrio. Estaba muy emocionado de que mi amigo haya triunfado.

Doy fe del hecho de que disfruté mi tiempo con él cuando acababa de llegar. Siempre pagaba por todo lo que comía o bebía. Incluso se ofreció a arreglar algunas chicas para mí, todo en nombre del placer.

Yo estaba feliz pero al mismo tiempo curioso acerca de cómo Fred lo hizo tan grande en un espacio de apenas 5 años. Le pedí que me explicara lo que hace y le dije que estaba dispuesto a hacer cualquier cosa para ser como él.

Inicialmente me dijo que era el dinero que había estado ahorrando todos estos años, pero sabía que no estaba creyendo esa mentira por la forma en que gastaba su dinero.

Después de ver mi seriedad y curiosidad por saber lo que hace, finalmente me dijo que hace fraude en línea y que estafa a las personas con su dinero duramente ganado. Dijo que fue uno de sus nuevos amigos quien le enseñó a hacer fraude, y estaba dispuesto a hacerme el favor de enseñarme a mí también.

Estaba estupefacto, porque nunca supe que mi amigo podría reunir el coraje para ignorar los sentimientos de otras personas y estafarlos con el dinero que tanto les costó ganar. Estaba enojado porque estaba decepcionado con él, cuando comenzó a recordarme las dificultades por las que pasó y cómo nuestro gobierno no está ayudando a los jóvenes.

Entiendo cómo nuestro gobierno y nuestro país no son tan favorables, especialmente para la juventud, pero me formaron para tener conciencia y respetar lo que otros han logrado.

Fred estaba decepcionado conmigo por no apoyar sus formas de ganar dinero. Hice todo lo posible para asegurarle que no tengo ningún problema con él y que siempre sería su amigo.

Pero la amistad entre Fred y yo se deterioró drásticamente de mal en peor, ya que apenas nos volvimos a comunicar. Ni siquiera me di cuenta de que nos habíamos alejado tanto el uno del otro, hasta el día en que pasó junto a mí con su automóvil después de que lo vi y me detuve para saludarlo.

Para resumir, Fred y yo ni siquiera nos estamos comunicando de nuevo, aunque no tengo nada en contra de él. Simplemente no tengo el mimd que tiene para estafar a otros por dinero que ni siquiera gastaré bien.
