WHAT IS YOUR PLAN B IF CRYPTO DOESN'T WORK OUT FOR YOU?

So I came across the post above on X and decided to write this topic because I feel it is very important. Most people get into crypto without a plan or a contingency plan--a plan B, and I thought it would be a great touch on the subject and offer some perspective.

I got into crypto in 2018 while in college. I never had the goal of becoming rich via crypto. For me, it was just a means to an end. I was an aspiring content creator and I found a blockchain where I could write and earn without having to go down the dreadful path of freelancing (which I had tried and failed).

However, after joining Hive I discovered that the blockchain offered me more than just a couple of bucks to cover my living expenses. I was learning about cryptocurrency and building a network of friends across the globe. The Knowledge and network became more important to me so I gave it my all. After I graduated from college I took this as my full-time hustle. There have been positives and negatives--mostly positives. The most important thing is that this space has allowed me to live the life I have always wanted, which is the life of a creator.

Now, that I am getting older and my ambitions are a lot different than what they used to be years ago. I have redefined how I want to play in this space. For the longest time, I have been living in my bubble/ecosystem, creating decent content and my friends in the Web 3 space have read them and I have earned well. Unfortunately, this isn't going to make me rich--having more than that is enough not to worry about money.

I understand a lot of people are making life-changing money in the crypto space trading and speculating on tokens. Unfortunately, that's not my path. I am not a speculator and will never be. I would like to commit to something valuable or provide some valuable service to the Web 3 community and I hope that would make me rich. This is my mindset.

One of the ways I want to achieve my goal of creating value in the Web 3 space is by creating content--educative content like this one that offers my perspective and can help new entrants in this space make better decisions on how they want to go about their crypto journey. If this doesn't get me rich then at least I hope it is good enough to fund my migration plans, so I can pursue some of my other ambitions in a saner part of the world. I will consider this to be my plan B.

In my case, it isn't about making millions or nothing. There is still a lot in between I would love to accomplish that will make me feel fulfilled. Even if everything were to end at this point I would still feel accomplished because I have done a lot in the space of 4years. I am proud of how far I have come in the crypto space.

So if I were to advise anyone getting into the crypto industry right now, I would tell them to make their journey more meaningful. Don't be overly fixated on money, it often drives you into the wrong places. There is a space for your passion in Web 3, you just need to find the right people to grow and build with as I have done these past 4 years. Cheers!

In my case, I am now not dependent on crypto and I have no plans to be dependent on crypto. I mostly focus on real-life activities. I have never invested a single penny in crypto except for the efforts I have given. So I have nothing to lose in the case of crypto. Whatever I have it's all bonus for me.

What about your time and supposed effort? Are you investing that hoping for no real return?

It's valuable also for me but I can console myself saying I didn't invest money 😅. Obviously, I am expecting something return but if I lost everything then it would not create huge impact also because I am mostly focusing on real life activity.

Err... I don't understand what you mean by "get back to fucking work. "

Work (from my understanding) is anything one does for money. Most people in the space have actual jobs outside crypto.
