Super Manila Comic Con 2025!
The Super Manila Comic Convention 2025 was held on Sept 6 and 7 at One Ayala.
This is the convention kit, with a knapsack with the convention logo and Dan Da Dan printed on each side.
The convention fee per day is a bit exorbitant, but what the heck, my sister treated me to the ticket.
As is usual, wristbands is a quick indication that you have a convention pass.
Below are the kit's contents:
The playbill with a map,
some coupons,
a snack which I am eating as I am writing this post,
and, surprise surprise! DEODORANTS! Many nerds, dorks, and geeks are known for their bad hygiene and terrible smell, so we are all grateful that the kit has some solutions haha!!! These are from my and my sister's kits.
This is a free area where sponsors have set up their booths. It is on the second floor, a bit far from the top floor convention venue.
The upcoming Tron movie being promoted.
Some gundam robots near the venue's entrance.
A cosplayer.
Warhammer 40,000.
Some legos.
A couple of popular cosplayers portraying local characters.
Come back here, Lord Vader, please take a picture with me.
Gashapons.
Some mecha girl I am not familiar with.
Disney.
F4 and GI Joe.
Princesses.
Hello Kitty merch. My sister loves these.
Dunno what shows these belong to, but I'm sure anime lovers can quickly name them.
The Star Wars universe, with Darth Maul, the Mandalorian, BB-8, and D-0.
Anya is always a welcome sight.
Some chicks 😅
Legolas from LOTR.
The McFarlane Toys booth has some interesting items. Online shopping prices are lower, though.
The Warhammer booth.
Blokees.
A One Piece display.
Gunn's DCU Superman from Iron Studios.
A really large Takara Tomy box.
More displays.
Some Hot Toys, featuring Heath Ledger's Joker,
the Spider-verse,
Daniel Craig's James Bond,
Marvel,
and Star Wars.
A display featuring the latest Captain America movie.
Participants were treated to some anime episodes.
Merch.
The Funko booth.
More collectibles.
The comics and artists' area.
A booth of a local toy store.
Some artists signing their work.
This is a popular local comic shop, which only operates online but always joins events and conventions.
More artists.
Another local comic seller.
Works from a foreign fine artist who failed to make it to the convention on time.
A poster above the convention area.
A Misaka Mikoto clone.
A local heroine who is actually older than most of the participants in the event and apparently, even Wonder Woman herself. So it's fair to say she's not a Wonder Woman rip-off.
A cosplayer portraying Fantastic Four's Invisible Woman.
Star Wars cosplayers! Participants can have their pictures taken thru a donation to a local foundation.
The con's photobooth.
Frieren.
Fern.
A character from Dan Da Dan (I think).
Batgirl cosplayer.
Upon leaving the event, we accomplished some more errands at a local bookstore.
Some of the mall's shops.
Con wristbands again!
A hearty dinner back home. Tired but happy.
