Recent leg pulling and contempt against me at my job made me pause a moment... for Alhamdulilah my designation comes with authority and shields me from professional jealousy. At the same time, it broke my heart to realize how sensitive and defensive I got about all this even when I was officially immune to it.. a reminder...of the unhealed wounds and burdens of the past I still carry so deep in me. I have never truly known safety.
