A visit to karni mata temple where more than 25000 rats lives
Have you heard about that temple, can you believe that ?
But this is true , there is a temple in rajasthan where more than 25000 rats live.
Today i would like to share my experience to visit this amazing temple.
Where is the temple ✅
This temple is situated in the deshnok district Bikaner, Rajasthan ( india). Deshnok is situated , almost 30 kilometers away from Bikaner.
We can reach there by train or byroad. This is well connected via train to all major cities.
About the temple ✅
This is a hindu temple. This temple is dedicated to goddess Karni, Who is also considered a form of Maa Durga. This temple was built by Maharaja Ganga Singh in the 20th century.
More than 25,000 rats live here, And it is believed that seeing this white rat is very auspicious. but don't get to see anyone quickly .
Here devotee bring milk and other prasad for the rat.
My experience ✅
Last month i visited there with my family. After 12 hours travelling we reached there. It was my second time when i visited this temple, before in my childhood i went there.
That day the weather was cloudy, And after our darshan it also started raining.
We parked the car a short distance away from the temple and walked a short distance. Where there were stalls selling parasad and some other items.
That temple is made by marble, and look the architecture how beautiful it is. This temple is special for rats and temple, so you can see with flowers design, there are rats, elephant and some other are also crafted.
This is the gate for entering the main temple which is made by silver.
There were so many rats wondering here and there. First i was afraid because some were even coming out from above the feet . So i was not captured it perfectly. I was afraid that I might accidentally step on them. Because this is a sin. And for this you have to offer a golden mouse.
There was a crowd there. Clicking pictures inside was not allowed.
Aftet the darahan we stopped one stall and drink sugarcane juice. Sir there a while and And went to home at our Village. Which experience I'll share in my upcoming blog.
This was really a unique experience to watch lots of rat there, Those who do not harm anyone and are considered to be the form of God.
I tried hard to find a white rat there but I couldn't find it...Only a very lucky person gets to see a white rat. Which is really so fortunate.
Have you been there and seen a white rat? how was your experience, let me share in the comment section.
