5 minute freewrite 3939 prompt a session musician

Have you ever noticed how some children are born with a special gift? From a very young age, a child could sit down at a piano and start playing it, or a child can pick up a microphone and sing an entire song. They have a gift.

One of my Grandsons, from the time he was one, loved dinosaurs. By age 3 or 4, he could look at a picture of one and tell you its name, he never got one wrong. I could not start to pronounce some of them, but he knew how. He is now in his second year of college for archaeology. Last year, he was on the honor roll. He has a gift.

One of my daughters liked to play like she was a doctor. My Mom told me that she would grow up and choose that profession, she did, and she only needs four more years of college to become a doctor, but she likes being a nurse. Now she owns her own company where she has people under her who look after people in their homes.

I had two brothers who taught themselves to play the guitar, one wrote songs, and the other wrote poetry.

My sister is raising two of her grandchildren, the youngest has a gift of drawing, she only draws cats. I am not sure if she will be a Vet or an artist, or both.

The other granddaughter, I would be surprised if I turn out to be wrong about her, she will be either be a session musician or the musician who needs one.

She had never played any musical instrument before this year, but for school, she had to pick one to learn to play. She chose the clarinet. I do not know why that is what she wanted to play, but not long after getting it, her teacher called my sister to tell her her granddaughter has a true gift when it comes to the clarinet, and she should be encouraged to continue. She was telling my sister how she thinks she will get a full scholarship when the time comes. She is only in 6th grade. She has a gift.

I know there are many more types of gifts that we are given, and I always thought everyone is not given one. BUT now I think maybe we ARE each given a gift, and we have not discovered it yet.

I always thought I had no gift, I can't sing, I can't draw, I can't play an instrument, I thought I was born to be a worker. And then I found I do have a gift. From a young child, I always dreamed of marrying a fisherman. I loved to fish, but never thought of me fishing for a living, but here I am.
