This is my post for #freewriters 2985 prompt paralyzed hosted by @mariannewest

There is only two patches of dark green grass left, it is down our old tunnel road. This afternoon, when I walked down it to get Rudy's food, I almost walked right up to one of his relatives. I stopped to talk to it, and it just sat there, like it was paralyzed. Usually, they run off when I get that close, except when we are in the truck, then he runs a few feet in front of it, then stops. He waits till I get close and hops a few more feet, we do this all the way down the driveway. Sometimes he will not move until I get out of the truck and run him from the road.

He was double the size of Rudy, and his cottontail was huge, Rudys is small. Rudy turned two in December, and I think he should be bigger than he is. I wonder if he is stunted.

This is Rudy, two years ago in January. I miss the days when I could take him out of the cage and hold and love on him. But I stopped doing it when he jumped off my lap. The dogs went after him, but stopped when I yelled NO. Then Rudy ran into the bathroom in our bedroom. My husband and I tried to catch him, but he thought it was a game. We each sat on the floor, and he would run to each of us but would not let either of us grab him. He would go to me, going up one arm and down the other, then run to my husband, doing the same thing, and back to me, he thought it was great fun. I finally put his little house in the bathroom, and he ran into it. I slid a cookie sheet under it and carried it with him back to his cage. Everyone told me that wild rabbits get mean when they age, but this has not happened with Rudy, he lets me pet him and we even rub noses. He talks to me, I never knew rabbits could make talking noises. It is so cute.

Now I will tell you about the rat in my husband's shed. A couple of days ago, he saw a nest on one of the shelves. The rat had gathered all sorts of things and put them in it. There were dripper lines and the sprinklers that go in them. I forgot everything my husband found when he tore it apart. This is toward the front of his shed.

He has a shelf at the back of his shed that he had a half roll of paper towels sitting on. Today he went to get a paper towel but could not find the roll. He looked all over the shelf. As he was walking out he noticed the rat's nest was back. The rat had the entire roll of paper towels chewed up and in it, even the cardboard roll. This time, it did not only have the little dripper sprinklers in it, but also the big sprinkler head in the nest. We are not sure what all is in there. The white cotton looking stuff must be fiberglass matting that it chewed up .

My husband did not tear it apart, he put his game camera in front of it because he thinks a rat could not carry all of those things up there, he thinks maybe it is an opossum. I think a rat could do this. I think he should tear it apart, then put the camera back there and watch how it gets all of these things up there.
