5 minute freewrite 2975 prompt a small gap

This is my post for #freewriters 2975 prompt a small gap hosted by @mariannewest
I finally got my sister to go trolling. She kept telling me she did not want to do it, but after today, she likes it. She did not start out liking it. We trolled all morning and most of the afternoon without getting a bite from anything.

We were about to go under the railroad bridge when I saw my husband coming toward us. I did not think he was fishing today. When I pulled up to him, he told me he was trying to catch mullet for my sister and my cousin. We talked for a bit then I went on trolling for jacks. My sister looked back and said my husband was waving for us to come back to him.

He made a throw with his castnet on mullet, but could not lift them in the boat. My sister got on his boat and helped him lift them. He has had three hernia surgeries, and it bothers him to do much lifting.
After they got the net in the boat, we helped get the fish out of it, and he put them on our boat, because we had more ice than he did. After that, I told my sister we would make one more trip up the creek, and if we did not catch anything, we would go home.
The first fish of the day was a huge tarpon. It jumped about six feet in the air, and luckily, it threw the hook. I did not want to fight one that big. Next, I caught a ladyfish, and after unhooking it, I dropped my line over the side of the boat, and with it hanging there, I caught a big sailcat. My sister had not caught anything and said, "I have not got a bite, and all you do is drop your line by the boat, and you catch fish.'
It was close to three o'clock when we found the jacks, which only left us a small gap of time to make money on them. We stayed until five, which was way too late, and they were still biting when we left.

It was dark by the time we got to the fish house. My sister got our ice while I weighed the fish and made out our ticket.

We caught 41 jacks that weighed 41 pounds. Last week, the fish house paid two dollars on this size jacks. I hope they pay us that this week.

Looks like the Lord sent y'all some fish -- let's keep praying!
