5 minute freewrite 2950 prompt do me a favor

We started out at Long Point, and skipped a pompano as we came up on the flatt. We anchored and in the first ten minutes, we caught one. We sat there for almost an hour, and did not catch another one.

We ran the flatt, but saw nothing. I went back off the edge and they showered in front of us. I am not sure how many skipped. We anchored, and sat there for over an hour. They were skipping off our boat the entire time. Once my sister threw a line out and as soon as the lead hit the water, a pompano skipped from it. We never caught one.

Next we went to the North Bar. I saw a fisherman that I knew but did not have his phone number. I was headed toward him to tell him about the fish at Long Point. He jig fishes and maybe they would bite the jig, but before I got to him, one skipped.

We anchored and stayed for over an hour, we did not catch anything, but they were skipping from our boat. We went to Middle Bank and anchored twice, then went back to the North Bar.

We skipped three on the North Bar, but they would not bite. We were going to go back to Long Point, but when we got north of the North Bar, they skipped all around our boat, and we could see them swimming in the water. Of course, we anchored. We never caught a pompano, we had a sheepshead, a bluefish, a blue runner, a small jack, two permit that we had to throw back, and two ladyfish.

We stayed until three thirty, I am beat and told my sister, do me a favor and let's not go tomorrow. We might be messing up, because my gut says, "the weather is getting warmer, they might bite". My head is saying "this is horsecrap, they are not going to bite".

For the last two days, we had 18 pounds of pompano, 3 pounds of sheepshead, 2 ladyfish, 1 pound of small jack, and two bluefish.
