Last month, my niece, her husband, and her pregnant daughter all had Covid. The daughter went into labor, and her parents were too sick to take her to the hospital, so her grandmother, my middle sister, took her to the hospital. I told my sister she will be lucky if she does not come down with it. She was adamant that she would not get it because she was careful to wash her hands, and she wore a mask the entire time she was with Lily. She came down with it and was very sick.
My other sister has two sons, her youngest is in a work program after being released from prison, and she is raising his two daughters. She took his daughters to see him last Saturday. Her other son wanted to go with her to see him.
My sister knew his wife was sick, but she did not know she was covid sick. She got upset because he did not tell her until they were on their way. He assured her he would not get it because he sleeps with a CPAP. She tried to tell him differently because he lives in the same house and sleeping with that machine on was not enough to protect him. On the way home, he started feeling bad, and now he has tested positive.
I swear people who are sick should take the chair, and not go around others. It does not matter if you have the common cold, the flu, or whatever kind of sickness that can be spread to others, if you are sick, why expose others and make them sick?
I told my sister not to come to my house. I looked up how long someone can be contagious, and it said two to fourteen days. She has another week before I will let her near me. I know it is not as bad as it first was, but neither my husband or I has ever had it, and I do not want us to catch it. My youngest daughter and son live with us, and they have not had it. My daughter has MS, so she has enough with handling that. Bottom line, I do not want to be sick or have a house full of sick people over someone's stupidity.
