5 minute freewrite 2830 prompt a bitter pill

My husband told this dog he is no longer her friend. She killed a baby rabbit this morning. My husband gets very upset when she kills something. Only a month ago, he unfriended her because she killed a turtle, he had only just started letting her hang with him again.

I do not get as upset as my husband gets. I think it is the dog's nature, my husband says she knows better and doesn't care.

What do you do with someone who doesn't want to help themself? They want you to do everything for them. Every year, my youngest son works his tail off in this heat picking palemtto berries. He makes good money, but at the end of the season, he has nothing to show for it. At the beginning of every season, I give him a speech about how he needs to start thinking about his future. It goes in one ear and out the other.

Before this season started, I reminded him that I no longer drive. In past years, it was me who took him to sell his berries. He is now upset because I refused to take his berries to sell. I told him it is all on him, he should have found someone to take him to sell the berries before he picked them. This is a bitter pill for him to swallow because he now has 50 dollars worth of rotten berries. I hope he will learn from it, but I will not be holding my breath.

Look what I found coming out of my compost bin. I have no idea what it will be, either a melon or a squash. I like getting free food from my garden, and I really like it when I have no work involved in getting it.
