This is my post for #freewriters 2782 prompt important knowledge hosted by @mariannewest

When the kids were young and we took them camping for 2 weeks every year when school let out for the summer, we left the next day. I would have everything packed and ready to be loaded into the truck and boat. And every year we camped, we joked about how they could send us camping to a country that was in a drought, and when we arrived, their drought would end. My husband forgot this important knowledge when he made reservations to go camping.

He decided he wanted to go camping at Lake Kissimmee. He is leaving tomorrow and will be back on Wednesday. And now it seems the drought we have been having is over. They say we will get rain for the next 10 days, and now maybe more because we have something developing in the Caribbean.

my double Rose of Sharon has bloomed
It is 6pm and it has been raining for three hours. This might be the first time that I do not collect grasses and weeds for Rudy. It is not only raining, it is lightning, too, so I do not want to be in the yard pulling up grass.

It is not like I have nothing to feed him, I have plenty, but I like to make sure his diet has what he would be eating in the wild. One night without it will not hurt, tonight, he will get romaine lettuce, cabbage, celery, turnip greens, and 4 small carrots, plus he has rabbit food from the store.

I just saw the Monarch caterpillar, I did not see it when I took the picture. It is under the left flower. Here is a short video on their lifespan.

Awareness of this song is my only connection to Lake Kissimmee. Jerry Garcia is best known for the Grateful Dead. David Grisman is a mandolin virtuoso. Peter Rowan has been all over the bluegrass and folk music scene forever. Vassar Clements is one of the greatest fiddlers of all time. I feel bad I don't know anything about John Kahn, but he must be good based on the company he keeps!

There have been a few songs about Kissimmee, but I had never heard this one. Bluegrass is something I have to be in the mood to listen to, or at a bluegrass festival.

Also Lake Kissimmee is where last month a woman was in a kayak and a gator grabbed her arm, her husband tried to help but could do nothing, she did not make it. And last week, somehow, a gator flipped several canoes there, and twelve people were hurt.
