This pool pump that I bought is going to either break the bank or drive me crazy, or both. I wish I had never bought it.

This thing is called a pre filter and it has a crack in it, now I know why it was cheaper than what it was listed for. I do not think the person I bought it from knew about the crack. The box was marked Amamzon overstock, I think he bought it from them on some sort of sale they had on returned items. It was in the original box and that box was in another box that was sealed. The crack is where you screw the top on it and runs down the side the hose connects to it.

After us messing with it for a long time my husband did something that is unlike him, he told me to see if I could order a new one. The only places I could find it was the Intex company that made it and there was one on E-Bay. Since I thought E-Bay would be cheaper, I tried it first and was in shock at the price, it was close to 130 dollars. So I looked at the Intex web site and was shocked again, $8.45. I tried to order it and put in all of my info, it tells me since it weighs more than 150 pounds it will take a special truck to deliver it. I am thinking what did I do, I check and it is the right thing for 8.45. I start over and get the same thing.

I close out of everything and make the order again, I try to pay and it says error try again, I try again and get the same error, by this time I am mad and slam the laptop shut. My husband gets the super glue and he glued the crack, he gets the stream of water to slow down to drips. I do not know how long it will last, but for now it is what it is.

Oh yea, the 8.45 dollar part with shipping is going to cost 25 dollars. I hope I do not need to get someone to order it for me, because I do not want to try again.

3 and 1/2 pounds of filter balls, I am not sure they will work either, but they did swell up when I wet them.
