5 minute freewrite 2755 prompt I don’t want criticism
This is my post for #freewriters 2755 prompt I don’t want criticism hosted by @mariannewest
My sister had a house cleaning job today, so I told her she could bring her granddaughters to me to watch them so she did not need to pay a sitter. She got here a little after 8 this morning and of course, they wanted to get in the pool but she told them it was too early.
Now, I don’t want criticism, but after she left, I let them get in the pool. The reason I let them in that early was the weather, It was supposed to rain in a couple of hours, which it never did, it died out before getting to us.
I moved my desert roses yesterday because I knew they were coming, but I misjudged how far they could splash the water, so I ended up moving them further away from the pool. The oldest one told me that swimming in the pool was more fun than being on her phone.
But what happened when they got tired of 4 hours of swimming?
After getting into dry clothes, they both laid back and got on their phones.

You showed them the real fun in life, and kept them off the screens for a little while ... so later on, they will be able to make informed decisions.
Their grandma got them a pool like mine but has not set it up yet. They have been bugging her about it. She has only had it for a few days and has to get the grass pulled up and it level before she can set it up.
It's nice to hear a child say that playing outside is better than being on their phone! Swimming! I spent my childhood summers in water of all kinds. I can't imagine growing up with out it. I took my kids to pools all summer long. Fortunately, smart phones were not in every teen's hand until after the youngest of mine had graduated.
Yes, it surprised me when she said that, and it made me happy to see they could do something other than be glued to their phones. But what did they do as soon as they got out?????
With me living on an inlet, I just about lived in the water when I was a child.
That's a pretty long time in the pool!!! However, looks like they really enjoyed the time!!

Senescent cells, also known as "Zombie cells," are dormant but not dead and are linked to various diseases like cancer, Alzheimer's, and arthritis. Senolytic therapy targets these cells to prevent disease progression. A new MRI technique can visualize senescent cells, enabling experts to select suitable candidates for therapy and assess its effects. Article

When I was a child, I used to stay in the inlet swimming all day. They did get out long enough to eat lunch, and they did have fun.
All day!!
In may native place, parents never allow the kida to stay in the water (there are ponds everywhere) for a long time! Maybe, half an hour or one hour top!
