5 minute freewrite 2735 prompt chew it well
This is my post for #freewriters 2735 prompt chew it well hosted by @mariannewest
I do not understand why it is taking so long for my husband to get his dentures. He had all his teeth pulled, he only had 6 left. He had been pulling them himself, but it was hard for him to chew his food, so he decided to get the rest pulled and get dentures. This was in November or December of last year. The last time he saw the dentist, they told him he would need 6 more appointments before he gets the dentures. One of the appointments is later this week, then there will be 5 more. His last visit he was told he had a piece of tooth that had not worked its way out. He told me yesterday he could now feel it just under the skin.
The only way he can eat is to put his food in the blender or eat soup because he can not chew it well. He weighed himself the other day and told me he has never been this small, he has lost 15 pounds in the last two months. We think it is from him not being able to eat right. I feel bad for him, but there is nothing I can do to help....
Today my sister and I set 23 pigfish traps in the river. I am not supposed to drive so she drove my truck and I told her when we got to the boat ramp, I would back the boat down it. She told me if there were no people there, she wanted to do it. I do not know why she was worried because she backed it down like she had been doing it for years.
After we put the traps in the water, we went to an island and walked around. I wanted to wait an hour to see if any bait was getting in them. We picked up 5 that I had offshore and only saw one pigfish. I did not think there was going to be much in them because I did not see much grass on the bottom for them to hide in.
I saw a lot of rolling grass inshore, so we looked at a couple of them and they had a couple of pigfish and a couple of small croakers, so I had her put the ones we picked up in line with them. We will leave them overnight and run them tomorrow morning.
I found this rock on the island. To me, it looks like a little manatee.
