Hello #Needleworkmonday. Happy Friday! Today I'm sharing a restoration project involving a Santa Claus door hanger 🎅. Since it's Christmas, this is a very popular decoration, but my son's dog damaged it when he grabbed it to play with and tore it apart. It had been lying around at my son's house since last year. I saw it and decided to ask for it so I could restore it, and he gave it to me. You know I'm addicted to recycling, and I saw that it still had potential for a second chance. Here are the details of the restoration.

Como estamos en Navidad, este es un adorno muy usado, pero este objeto sufrió daño del perrito de mi hijo, lo agarró para jugar y lo destrozó. Desde el año pasado estaba tirado en casa de mi hijo, lo vi, y decidí pedirlo para restaurarlo, y me lo dio. Ustedes saben que soy adicta al reciclaje, vi que aún tenía potencial para darle una segunda oportunidad. Paso a dar detalles de la restauración.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
- 2 large movable eyes.
- Cold silicone.
- Sewing needle and thread.
- Silicone filling.
- 1 white tassel.
- 02 ojos movibles grandes.
- Silicona al frío.
- Aguja e hilo de coser.
- Relleno de silicona.
- 01 borla blanca.
Process//Proceso:
- Since it was unstitched in several places, I removed the filling.
- I proceeded to wash and rinse it.
- After drying, I made some repairs with a needle and thread.
- I stuffed the mustache, face, and hat.
- I hand-sewed all the unstitched areas.
- I glued the mustache, eyes, and plush fabric of the hat with cold glue.
- Then I made a tassel with white yarn and sewed it to the end of the hat.
- Como estaba descosido en varias partes, retiré el relleno.
- Procedí a lavarlo y enjuagarlo.
- Luego de secado, le hice algunas reparaciones con la aguja e hilo.
- Hice el relleno del bigote, la cara y el gorro.
- Cosí a mano todas las áreas descosidas.
- Pegué con pegamento al frío, el bigote, los ojos y la tela de peluche del gorro.
- Después hice una borla con hilo estambre blanco y cosí en el extremo de gorro.

I'm really happy because this restoration was definitely worth it, it looks like new. I put it on the door and it looks pretty good, you can't tell that it was dragged around by our🐶 dog, it had no eyes or mustache and was filthy.
The recycling was effective by applying the 3R: reduce, recycle, and reuse. One less piece of trash. My son had decided to throw it away, but I got there in time, and now it's a nice door hanger decorating our home. the restoration surprised my son.

Muy feliz porque realmente esta restauración valió la pena, quedó como nuevo. Lo coloqué en la puerta y se ve bastante bien, no parece que haya sufrido una arrastrada por nuestro🐶 koki, no tenía ni ojos ni bigote y estaba mugre.
El reciclaje fue efectivo al aplicar las 3R: reducir, reciclar y reusar. Una basura menos. Porque mi hijo había decidido tirarlo, pero llegué a tiempo, ahora es un lindo porta puerta luciendo en casa. Mi hijo quedó sorprendido con la restauración.
