Hello #Needleworkmonday. I was so excited while watching the soccer final that I started crocheting the mini Spain soccer ball, since I’d already made the mini Argentina soccer ball. Now I’m sharing the step-by-step process with you.
ESPAÑOLHola #Needleworkmonday. Emocionada mientras veía la final de fútbol comencé a tejer el mini balón de España, porque ya habia realizado el mini balón de Argentina. Ahora les comparto el paso a paso del proceso de elaboración.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
- Red and yellow cotton yarn.
- Size 2 crochet hook
- Hilo de algodón rojo y amarillo.
- Aguja crochet Nº 2
Abbreviations//Abreviaciones:
ch: chain(s).
mp: half point.
mpa: half high point.
pad: double treble crochet.
pat: triple treble crochet.
aum: increases.
dism: decrease.
pa: high point.
pr: slipped stitch.
ch: cadena(s).
mp: medio punto.
mpa: medio punto alto.
aum: aumento.
dism: disminución.
pa: punto alto.
pad: punto alto doble.
pat: punto alto triple.
pr: punto deslizado.
Process//Proceso:
- Cast on 26 plus 1 chain stitch; turn on the 2nd row, work one single crochet in each space (25), 1 chain stitch, and turn the work; work 3 rounds; on the last single crochet, do not complete the stitch so you can insert the yellow yarn there; repeat the process for two rounds.
- Repeat the previous process with three more rounds of red.
- You will have three strips.
- Sew the ends of two strips together; these are inserted into each other to form a sort of cross.
- Insert the loose strip between the sewn ones and sew the end.
- Then stuff it.
- Shape it into a circle.
- Attach the keychain with the clip.
- Montar 26 mas 1 chs, devolver en la 2da, un mp en cada espacio,(25), 1 ch al aire y girar el tejido, hacer 3 vueltas, en el último mp no se hace completa para insertar alli el hilo color amarillo, repetimos proceso por dos vueltas.
- Volvemos a repetir proceso anterior con tres vueltas mas de rojo.
- Obtenemos tres tiras.
- Cosemos los extremos de dos tiras, estas se insertan una a la otra formando una especie de cruz.
- Insertamos la tira suelta entre las cosida y cosemos el extremo.
- Luego rellenar.
- Se ajusta la forma circular.
- Se inserta el llavero con la pinza.

This mini soccer ball ⚽ design is simple and aimed at beginners; the hardest part is putting it together, but with patience, you can achieve the circular shape. I made this crochet project during the game, and since I was missing Spain—I’d already made the Argentina one— So, caught up in the excitement of the game, I grabbed the yarn and quickly finished it just as Spain won the 2026 World Cup in the 103rd minute.
I attached a keychain at my daughter’s suggestion, since she was going to show it off to her coworkers today.
I'm going to knit another one for my collection of mini balls, since I previously got them from an ice cream brand.

Este diseño de mini balón ⚽ es sencillo dirigido a principiante, lo mas dificil es hacer el armado, pero con paciencia se logra obtener la forma circular. Este tejido lo hice en el trascurso del juego, y como me faltaba España, porque el de argentina ya lo habia hecho. Entonces entre la emoción del juego busque los hilos y rápidamente logré terminarla cuando a los 103 minutos España se hace ganadora del campeonato mundial 2026.
Le coloqué un llavero por sugerencia de mi hija ya que ella lo luciria el dia de hoy entre sus compañeros de trabajo.
Voy a tejer otra para mi colección de mini balones ya que anteriormente los adquirí a traves de una marca de helados.
