Hello #Needleworkmonday. I'm here again today to share a crochet project using the granny square technique. This technique of making squares is so versatile that you can knit flat and 3D figures. In this case it is a hen, as you have already seen I have knitted several shapes of chickens, as this noble animal brings me many memories, especially of my father. He between the 70's and 80's had in our yard a chicken coop, at that time in any yard every family raised hens and chickens. There were also family gardens.

A month ago, I saw a YouTube video, among so many notifications, I chose this model of hen, for my collection of poultry that I proposed to knit, also, I remember when my father took for the first time some red laying hens.

Also every few days, we had to clean the chicken coop, it was one of the tasks, pending the water and feed while he traveled in his truck as a driver.

Hola #Needleworkmonday. Hoy nuevamente por acá para compartir un proyecto de un tejido a crochet con la técnica granny square. Esta técnica de hacer cuadrados es tan versátil que se puede tejer figuras planas y en 3D. En este caso es una gallina, como ustedes ya han visto que he tejido varias formas de gallinas, ya que este noble animal de corral me trae muchos recuerdos, especialmente de mi padre. Él entre los años 70 y 80 tuvo en nuestro patio un gallinero, en esa época en cualquier patio cada familia criaba gallinas y pollos. También había huertos familiares.

Hace un mes, vi un video de YouTube, entre tantas notificaciones, escogí este modelo de gallina, para mi colección de aves de corral que me propuse tejer, además, recuerdo cuando mi padre llevó por primera vez unas gallinas rojas ponedoras.

También cada ciertos días, debíamos limpiar el gallinero, era una de las tareas, pendiente del agua y el alimento mientras él viajaba en su camión como chofer.

Repeat this process to have another similar piece, then sew with the same needle with half stitch on two sides, then close the back part as a triangle, fill and close completely.

Then in the upper part we make the crest with three groups of 3 high stitches, the beak with half stitch, 1 high stitch and another half stitch. We glue the movable eyes and insert the keychain.

Repetimos este proceso para tener otra pieza similar, para luego coser con la misma aguja con medio punto por dos lados, luego cerramos la parte de atrás como un triángulo, rellenamos y cerramos completo.

Después en la parte superior hacemos la cresta con tres grupos de 3 puntos altos, el pico con medio punto, 1 punto alto y otro medio punto. Pegamos los ojos móviles e inserto el llavero.
