Hello #Needleworkmonday. I share with you a knitting of a giant spider to decorate for Halloween. I decided to knit this arachnid because it's a little scary, and if it's giant even more hahaha. The only spider I have ever crocheted are the crochet ones. I will give you some details for its elaboration.

Step by step//Paso a paso

Materials//Materiales:

  • Black cotton thread.
  • Crochet needle Nº 2.
  • 01 optional key ring.
  • Clamp.

  • Aguja crochet Nº 2.
  • 01 llavero opcional.
  • Pinza.

mp: half point.
mpa: half high point.
pad: double treble crochet.
pat: triple treble crochet.
aum: increases.
dism: decrease.
pa: high point.
pr: slipped stitch.

ESPAÑOL

mp: medio punto.
mpa: medio punto alto.
aum: aumento.
dism: disminución.
pa: punto alto.
pad: punto alto doble.
pat: punto alto triple.
pr: punto deslizado.

Process//Proceso:

Body.

Black.

  • v1: Magic ring, 4 chs, 29 pad, pr. Close.
  • v2: mp, in each stitch, repeat, pr.
  • v3, v6: mpa, in each stitch, repeat,pr.
  • v7: 5 mp, 1 dism, repeat, pr.
  • v8: 1 mp, 1 dism, repeat, pr.
  • Fill in.
  • v9: dism, repeat.
    Knot, cut thread.

Head.

Then we make the head, in the center, 3 chs, puff of 7 loops, 3 chs, pr. Knot, cut yarn.

Legs (08)

  • We made 08 legs, of 10, 12, 14 and 16 chs on one side and inserted the yarn in the body and on the other side we take out the wool needle and make the missing chs, every 3 spaces.

Patas (08)

  • Se hizo 08 patas, de 10, 12, 14 y 16 chs de un lado y se inserto el hilo en el cuerpo y al otro lado se saca la aguja lanera y se hacen las chs, faltantes, cada 3 espacios.

I just finished knitting, I decided to make it bigger than the pattern because I wanted it to be more visible, and on a table I think it's really scary. I put a keychain on it because my daughter wanted it in the backpack, but I really didn't like the pendant, it's more realistic if it sits on something between the table.

Acabo de terminar de tejer, decidí hacerla más grande del patrón porque deseaba que fuera más visible, y en una mesa creo que da mucho miedo. Le coloqué un llavero porque mi hija la quería en el morral, pero realmente no me gustó el colgante, es más real si se coloca sobre algo entre la mesa.
