Garden Journal Challenge August: My Garden 🌱

🌱🌻Welcome to my blog🌻🌱
Hello #Hivegarden It’s a pleasure to share a tour of my garden for the month of August. I’m so happy because the onoto plant is already blooming and will soon bear fruit. Its flower—its petals—have a thick texture and a distinctive aroma that fills the entire area, similar to passionflower. My daughter loves that scent.

The ixoras are looking splendid, as is the cayenne or hibiscus 🌺.
There has been little rain, and the wind and sun are intense.
We’ve had water deliveries every two weeks, and I’ve been watering sparingly to conserve water since the supply isn’t guaranteed.

I have several indoor plants because the sun and wind are too harsh on them.

I stopped by a small nursery, and the “rain of gold” plant costs $5. I bought this planter for $1. I had planned to buy a dozen to resell, but my budget won't allow it.

I also did an experiment on germinating mango and avocado seeds.

I continue to recycle coffee grounds, vegetable peels, and eggshells by grinding them up and applying them to the plants. The milkweed plants are overrun with pests. I made a mixture of sweet clove water, liquid soap, water, and vinegar. I pruned the infested parts and applied ground cinnamon. They were starting to bear their first fruits, but they became misshapen and rotted. They’re still alive.
In these stressful times, gardening is one of my outlets; every day I keep a close eye on each of my plants.

Well my #HiveGarden friends, have a nice day!
