Star Trek: Discovery:- Session 1, Episode 5 Movie review [En/ SP]

To be honest, the more this series progresses, the more my interest grows. Today I watched episode 5 of season 1, and after watching it, I felt that something would have remained incomplete if this part had not been written.

There was a strange tension working from the beginning of this episode. The mystery that we got hints of in the previous episode comes out more deeply here. Especially the situation inside the USS Discovery, the trust and suspicion among the crew, everything together creates a strange, suppressed tension.

The character of Michael Burnham made me think again here. His inner conflict is very clearly understood. On the one hand, he is suffering from regret for his mistake; on the other hand, he also feels an urge to prove himself. Every decision of his seems to be very calculated, but still, there is a human weakness somewhere, which seems very real to the character.

Captain Gabriel Lorca—this man has not yet fully understood me. There is always a mystery hidden in his behaviour. Some of his decisions in this episode surprised me. It seems that he knows everything, but never reveals everything. The look in his eyes and the way he speaks—there is a hidden darkness in everything.

The character of Paul Stamets becomes more important in this episode. His work with the spore drive and the changes in his mental state—all of these were very interesting. Sometimes it seemed that he himself did not understand what he was doing. He seemed to be lost between science and personal reality.

The presence of Ash Tyler and Saru—these two characters were also quite important. Saru's fear and caution, and Tyler's calm but deep perspective—both combined to create a balance.

What I liked the most in this episode was that the story is not only about the external battle or action, but also about the internal psychological battle. Each character seems to be fighting a battle within themselves. And this is what makes the series different.

I have to say something about the visual effects. The space scenes, the atmosphere inside the ship—everything is shown very beautifully. Even the smallest details do not escape the eye.

Towards the end, the episode ends with another question. It felt like there was still a lot to be learned. These mysteries made me even more interested in watching the next episode.
