Friends, we all grew up in different environments, different families, societies, regions, everyone is different. Yet one thing is within all of us, that is 'culture'. Since childhood, I have seen that some welcome new guests with paan-supari in their hands, some ask them to make a sweet face. Some hug after Eid prayers, and there are many other small customs in this golden country of mine. At that time, all these seemed normal to me, but now I understand, this is our culture. Which has been going on for ages in that beautiful Bangladesh of rural Bengal.
For me, culture does not mean only big festivals, Pohela Baishakh or Eid-Puja, but rather our daily habits, manner of speaking, good behavior with guests, greeting mother in the morning, all of them are my culture. We wake up in the morning and eat potato-bharta, dal-bhat, and in the northern part of Bangladesh, some people eat pitha instead of rice in winter. These small customs actually make us different. This tells us that the culture of a region reaches the hearts of the people of that region.

The culture that I adhere to the most is respect for the elders, affection for the younger ones, and standing by the neighbor in good and bad. When I lived in the village, I saw that when someone is in danger, everyone comes forward together. These values are still deeply embedded in our society.
Friends, Our Bangladesh is a place where people of different ethnic groups, tribes and religions live together. Therefore, we celebrate all festivals like Pohela Baskh, Chaitra Sankranti, Durga Puja, Eid together. On these occasions, the father is made at home, cloth stalls are installed at the road corners, and all the faces are filled with smiles. These are a major part of our culture where we all celebrate together.

However, I always like novelty. Sometimes I want to go to a special cultural event in our hilly region and the Santal community, such as dance or folk songs, I have wanted to go to all these festivals since childhood. It seems that if I accept something that others like, I also get pleasure from it, it is an opportunity to enrich myself. I am always interested in trying foreign foods, especially Japanese sushi or African jolf rice.
Finally, about wasting time, for me wasting time means not giving time to your good deeds, not learning and just sitting idly. Not giving time to studies, family or any of your hobbies, just watching phone and TV, that is a waste of time. I think the best use of time is to learn something new, even if it is small, to benefit people or to try to keep yourself well.
Finally, I will say that culture is not limited to just any festival or custom, it is in our daily life, in words, behavior, food and clothing. And if we want, we can bring many beautiful cultures into ourselves. Let everyone respect their own culture and be interested in learning new things.
Thank you all for reading this short article of mine, and I invite you to love your culture and use your time wisely. May everyone be well and healthy, thank you all.

As we grow up in different families so will our culture differ from each other because that's what makes us different.
