Hive Exploration, January 9th, 2025

Hey y'all! Didn't get around to doing as much on Hive as previous days.

I kept checking in with Crownrend through the day, and was more consistent about checking in with Terracore as a result. It's been cool seeing them make balance changes through the day. In the comments of my post about Crownrend, @doombot75 and @ironshield agreed to form a "don't attack each other alliance" with me - it hasn't come up but if they're otherwise a valid target for a raid, I'll give them a pass. If you also wanna join, I guess add a comment, but I can't guarantee the others will see it. DENAR, one of Crownrend's currencies, was one of the most-traded tokens today. Other than that, most trading was in game tokens. With Hive's price going back down, maybe things are leveling out after the futures market boom?

The YIELD sale is over; I really enjoyed the post explaining the portfolio, and it got me to realizing that winter will be over before I know it, so I should start thinking about how I want to set up my portfolio through the rest of the year. I do lots of land-based stuff, like foraging, though we just moved here so this year it'll probably be lots of hiking and exploring. So I probably won't be posting as much on Hive - or least, won't be posting the same sort of content. I guess that's another task for my TODOs: figuring out the nature posting side of Hive. If y'all wanna contribute community or hashtag recommendations, please comment!

I've been thining about how I want to set up Hive wallet through then. I think I'm going to probably delegate most of my HP to projects that pay out HIVE or sidechain tokens for delegations - probably @eds-vote, mostly, if I had to make the decision today. (I'll leave my existing delegations where they are, but I'll grow the eds-vote one.)

On the note of delegations, I cancelled the one I was giving to HoloZing. ZING has come to make up a large part of my portfolio. I swapped some of it for SWAP.HIVE to pool with my still-unpooled SIM.

I picked up a bit more BXT today, pooled some and staked the rest, and a little bit of INCOME - mostly just to remind me to circle back and look at it later.

The main sidechain tokens I'm looking to get are EDSI, which I can get from delegating HP, and I'm interested in speeding up my DBOND flywheel: getting RUG, which pays DBOND, which pays DAB, which when staked pays DBOND. The novelty has worn off on a lot of the tokens I've grabbed since joining HIVE, but except for ZING, DBOND and DAB are the only ones climbing up the ranks, in terms of how much of my portfolio they represent.

I'll keep looking at what has good trade volume each day for inspirations of where to extend my stake, but for now a lot of what I have will generate itself as yield, comes sa curation or posting rewards, or gets generated as liquidity pool rewards.
