Defi Yields Climb Again | DeFi Journey #17
This week saw my ETH CLP positions, knocked out of range last week by that Iran bomb news, crept back in as ETH bounced from $2.2K to $2.4K. Harvested yields hit $39.71 this week, topping last week's multi-month high, which feels good after the dip. BTC continues to steadily climb up with its price just under $108k, shrugging off the geopolitical tensions better than ETH. I am still watching the ETH price chart closely because if it dips below $2.3K, we might see more trouble, but for now, it is holding in the $2.4k range.
DeFi Portfolio
June wrapped up with a strong $107.17 in harvested fees, pushing me past $3 per day. This is still short of my $10 target per day, but I am trending up after suffering some low yields in April and May. From this week's $39.71 yield, I added $36.28 into my WBTC/WETH CLP on Arbitrum, increasing the deposit in that position. It is yielding lower than my positions, but as it is a correlated pair and it stayed in range all week gives me confidence. Total deposits now sit at $5135.29, with my portfolio value at $3457.29. Total fees earned hit $607.71, and my overall loss decreased to -$1082.53.

ETH's rebound brought this CLP position back into range, netting me $14.45 this week. Total rewards climbed to $216.76, with the deposit steady at $1663.40 and current value at $978.65.

This SOL continues to stay in range, adding $6.78 to my total rewards of $135.69. The deposit remains unchanged at $906.23, and the current value is $796.29. Also, the SOL price increase has brought this position back into positive green territory, which is great to see.

As I mentioned above, I increased these positions by an additional $36.28 from this week's yield. The position has stayed in range since I opened it last week, and this week, I harvested $2.83, with total deposits now at $352.66 and current value at $374.41. It is great to see another DeFi position in the positive. So far, pairing these correlated crypto majors is paying off.

Concluding Thoughts
This week's $39.71 yield keeps the momentum going, thanks to ETH's price recovery. The general crypto market remains on edge with the exception of BTC due to the geopolitical tension, but at least all my DeFi positions are back in range and yielding yields. It has been a stroke of good fortune to jump into the market when ETH and BTC dipped slightly last week, and so far, this new CLP position has paid off with a nearly 7% gain (including fees).
