The hype around the Conclave Arcana set is real and it's a very exciting time to be a splinterlands fan! Its an exciting release as the artwork continues to evolve and get better with every new set. All the social media platforms are a buzz and its all about the Conclave Arcana release. But for me? I'll be sitting this one out, just like I did with Rebellion, I've decided not to dive into the presale or any pack openings. The simple truth is: I got burnt hard with Chaos Legion. So this time, It's no different, but that doesn't mean I'm not excited. In fact, Conclave Arcana is already having a positive impact, not just on sentiment, but on the splinterlands tokenomics too.

SPS Pumping On Conclave Arcana Hype

In my latest SPS market analysis, I covered how SPS was trading at $0.008 and looked like it was finally ready to move. That prediction didn't take long to materialize. SPS blew past the $0.01 resistance and has held strong since. And a lot of that momentum? I genuinely believe it's thanks to Conclave Arcana. Positive sentiment and hype around the new sets always bring a level of buzz and this buzz drives engagement and demand. Conclave Arcana is generating a level of buzz since the early days of Chaos Legion.

Despite the excitement, I'm not buying in this time. It's not because I think the set is bad -- I think it's probably the best set that the splinterlands team has ever put out (well done to the creative team). But after Chaos Legion and watching values continuously drop; I no longer have the appetite for the gamble. That said, if you're a collector or someone liking new flashy things, the splinterlands team is really making it worth your while. Just check out the official Conclave Arcana blog post. They're accommodating both whales and smaller buyers, with multiple pack tiers and some jucy rewards.

Let's break down what's being offered:

Standard Packs ($4): 5 cards, 1 Rare+ guaranteed
Alchemy Packs ($12): 5 cards, 1 Gold Foil guaranteed
Legendary Packs ($24): 5 cards, 1 Legendary guaranteed
Starter Packs ($1): 5 cards, new player friendly

And if the packs don't sell? They get burned similar to Rebellion set. There is also some presale bonuses and rewards and therefore players with deep pockets will be able to roll and pray to RNG gods to get that sweet sweet splinterlands loot like the new Black Foil Arcane cards.

Max-level out of the pack
Shorter cooldowns in Survival Mode
5x conflict contribution power
20% reward boost in ranked play
Legendary Black Foils are 1-of-1s

So yeah, if the RNG gods are in your favor and you pull one, you're probably holding one of the rarest and most valuable cards in the splinterlands ecosystem.

Biggest Impact Of Conclave Arcana To Me

Here's where Conclave Arcana really hits home for me. Once this new set drops, Chaos Legion rotates out of Modern. The alt account I built up during the Chaos Legion 1k pack opening challenge will now be shifted to Wild. My bread and butter Modern account will no longer be. Even though I took a hit financially during Chaos Legion, I grew to love the set. It has some seriously underrated cards that I've written about before. Like this Earth low mana strategy, or my budget Chaos Legion vs whales battle.

Even though I won't be joining the presale or opening packs, I'm still fully engaged with the game. I'll continue writing, playing, strategizing, and adapting to the new meta. The positive momentum around Conclave Arcana is something the game really needed. Between this release and SPS finally showing signs of life, we might be turning a corner.

Concluding Thoughts

Conclave Arcana is an absolutely a win for the splinterlands ecosystem. This is exactly the type of injection the game needs. With a concerted marketing push in 2025 with the release of Conclave Arcana, will we see the same highs as splinterlands in 2021?
