What do you miss about being a child and why?
Remembering childhood is very rewarding; it's a beautiful stage of life, even though many would rather forget it. Being a child is about being spontaneous; it's what we want to be when we grow up, and yet our actions and being are gradually controlled and molded, as they say.
What I miss about being a child is that back then I didn't have to worry about whether there was food or money. It was about going to school, doing homework, making friends, and sharing with others, although there were limitations too.
Limitations that weren't so blatantly displayed back then. It was a bit more reserved to exclude people because we didn't all have the same level in different areas. Despite that, I do miss the games I played at that age, the attention my parents gave me, even though I was very quiet as a child.

My mind lived in another dimension, as I say now. I used to dream a lot. When I read a story I enjoyed, my mind would recreate those scenes, picturing myself there. Wow, how I dreamed! I'd say those dreams came true about 60% of the time. I saw myself graduating, and I do enjoy studying. I saw myself in my own house, and I did build it with my husband—that wasn't easy to achieve. I also dreamed of traveling. I've traveled within our country and only to one other country, and I definitely want to travel more. However, when I take stock, those dreams came true at the perfect times, thanks to discipline and commitment.
Sometimes we think that childhood is just a phase, but it's a foundation for so many things. As we grow up, we have to grapple with so many challenges, especially with the beliefs we were born into. Rescuing the child we once were is everyone's task. Personally, I'm very happy that I've been gradually rescuing mine, and it's wonderful to feel free in so many ways. It's good... rescuing our inner child is the best task I've been undertaking step by step, and I continue to dream like I did when I was 7 years old.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Sis. yes even though we are already grown up adults we still have that inner child in us
That's right, we can't ignore it.
