Hello #topfamily community
Happy new week everyone.
I invite you to participate in the #TopFamily community's weekly contest Invitation post and rules to follow here
Nature is truly wonderful, and in it we find the most ingenious living beings imaginable, in colors, sizes, and textures. There are many people in charge of recording them, and the wonder is truly great.
Let's talk about this living being we see in the image. A Tara, that's what we call it as children because that's the name our parents give it. They blend in with the leaves with their color and shape; they look so delicate. There are some species that tend to be brown, so they blend in with the stems and trunks of trees.
Observing them is a luxury for those who love these types of living beings. Their mobility is that they stay put and don't move for a long time. They seem like plastic, as if someone had placed them there to decorate the plants, to embellish them, or to eat their leaves.
Some people often caught them as children; doing so was a source of pride, parading them around the house. I remember that when they picked them up, they would squeeze their wings so they wouldn't jump and move.
Many people were frightened by them, even children. Some screamed, others just laughed, joining in the adventure of searching for taras. Some kept them in boxes so they wouldn't die, others kept them in jars to observe them while they lived, watching their movements. Some thought they were dead, but it turned out that when they took them out, they escaped.
Anyone who played with a tare as a child knows what it means, especially if they had siblings who were curious about what nature had to offer. It was inevitable, especially in those immense yards filled with all kinds of fruit and ornamental trees like the yard of my house, where I spent my childhood and adolescence.
I haven't seen one in a long time.
