Cartas escritas en papel, de puño y letra. Algo que se debe promover en las generaciones más jóvenes, ya casi nadie lo hace, por diferentes razones. Cada quien va eligiendo como se va adaptando a las nuevas formas de comunicarse.
La misma ciencia lo explica muy bien de porqué es importante tomar papel y lápiz, escribir en ello, la comunicación entre cerebro y corazón es fantástica. Como muchos conocemos las pantallas han tomado mucho terreno en esto, cuando le decimos a alguien toma un cuaderno y anotas los sitios que has visitado, no es de mucho agrado, además esa grafía que tanto nos exigían es necesaria para entender un mensaje escrito en papel.
Las cartas de amor, los versos son importantes y hay que resaltar a aquellos jóvenes que componen hermosas líneas, hay que aplaudirlos y motivarlos a llevarlos a un papel, esas cartitas, esos papelitos para pasar información entre compañeros de clases o el mensajito de nos vemos al salir de clases eran muy tiernos, aunque había otros de mal gusto. Me gusta escribir, pensamientos que se me atraviesan, o situaciones incómodas que se presentan, o solicitudes a Dios en momentos de esos que no vemos o no sentimos que nos haya escuchado, si en una agenda o cuaderno, con lápiz o bolígrafo, dando forma a la letra, al pensamiento, soltando cosas dejándolas plasmadas, no en una pantalla.

La verdad que mucho tiempo que no me envían cartas de amor, todo se da por hecho, pareciera que esos momentos que consideramos románticos también hay que rescatarlos…si no lo hace el otro bueno hay que comenzar.
Recuerdo en mis tiempos de adolescencia que en época de navidad me encargaba de comprar tarjetas, escribirlas, colocar mensajes bonitos de navidad, me iba al correo de mi pueblo, las enviaba; así que llegaran al mismo pueblo, diferentes calles entregando un mensaje de amor en Navidad. Nunca lo hice en el día del Amor y de la Amistad por todo aquello que se consideraba ese día, que era solo para los que tenían su pareja, su novio y ya, el amor era visto desde otro tinte, recibir un regalo en ese día de alguien era un compromiso grande para enfrentar a la familia.

Handwritten letters on paper are something that should be encouraged among younger generations; almost no one does it anymore, for various reasons. Everyone chooses how to adapt to new forms of communication.
Science itself explains very well why it's important to use pen and paper and write on them. The communication between the brain and the heart is fantastic. As many of us know, screens have taken over a lot of ground in this area. When we tell someone to take a notebook and write down the websites they've visited, it's not very appealing. Besides, the handwriting that was once so demanded of us is necessary to understand a message written on paper.
Love letters and verses are important, and we should highlight those young people who compose beautiful lines. We should applaud them and encourage them to put them down on paper. Those little notes, those slips of paper used to pass information between classmates, or the "see you after school" texts were very sweet, although there were others in poor taste. I like to write down thoughts that cross my mind, or awkward situations that arise, or requests to God in those moments when we don't see or feel that He hasn't heard us. Whether in a planner or notebook, with pencil or pen, giving shape to the letters, to the thoughts, letting things out and leaving them imprinted, not on a screen.
The truth is, it's been a long time since I've received love letters. Everything is taken for granted. It seems that those moments we consider romantic also need to be rescued… if the other person doesn't do it, well, we have to start.
I remember during my teenage years, at Christmastime, I would buy cards, write them, add sweet Christmas messages, go to the post office in my town, and mail them so they would reach different streets in town, delivering a message of love at Christmas. I never did it on Valentine's Day because of the way that day was perceived; it was only for those who had a partner, a boyfriend, and that was it. Love was seen differently then, and receiving a gift on that day was a big commitment to face with the family.
