I hope you had a spectacular weekend and feel the best energy to start a new week of challenges. Thanks to @jane1289 for this week's questions, each one very interesting. As I always say, each week is about looking back on things we've done. The interesting part is how we've handled them, whether we learned something, or what they contributed to our growth.
This week's questions also bring us back to remembering and looking back, sometimes not just one decision, but several among the many we have to make on our life journeys. Sometimes the changes aren't immediately apparent; it's only later, with time, that we say, "I was so glad I made that decision."

What's an important decision you made recently
that changed something in your life?
A decision I made a few months ago has nothing to do with academic knowledge. It was joining a physical exercise group, initially for therapeutic reasons, because I needed to keep my mind occupied so I could feel like I was learning something new, this time in a different way. It has to do with physical movement.
For a few years now, I've been taking morning walks, just walking short distances. At the time, the goal was simply to get my body moving, but I felt like something was missing.
When my work schedule was at its peak, I always thought I'd like to do yoga. I'd always been interested in its philosophy, although back then I thought yoga was just for relaxation. Well, I never pursued that goal because I didn't have the time. I remember finding a group, but I couldn't join because they only met on Thursdays at six in the evening. That time was impossible for me; that's when my real work began.
A few months ago, on one of my walks, I saw them doing exercises and realized it was yoga. I immediately spoke with the instructor, and that week I got motivated by buying a mat and joining the class the following weekend.

Many things have changed. Mentally, I'm calmer because I've socialized with other people, both my age and younger. I've integrated very well. Physically, I have more mobility and flexibility than when I started. Step by step, I've learned the names of some of the poses, not just the names, but also what each pose benefits us with, which muscles and tendons are being activated. The change is noticeable; my leg muscles have increased a bit in mass, and the changes in my arm muscles are also visible. I've always been thin, but now my legs are a bit more toned.
Besides the exercises, we talk about the importance of this discipline. It's really nothing like what some people think. We sweat to achieve the movements, and we wait, each at our own pace. I should also clarify that there are different types of yoga. The one I practice is Hatha yoga. My instructor is very attentive to each of us. She also incorporates aerobics, step aerobics, resistance training, and other elements. We talked before the class started, questions came up, and we all shared our opinions.
I think I've changed a lot, in different ways. I feel like I have a purpose every day, and it shows on my face…that makes me very happy.

Que hayan pasado un fin de semana espectacular y sientan la mejor energía para iniciar una nueva semana de retos. Gracias a @jane1289 por las incógnitas de esta semana cada una muy interesante, como siempre expreso que cada semana es hacer una retrospectiva acerca de cosas que hemos hecho, lo interesante es como lo hemos asumido, si hubo un aprendizaje o en qué nos contribuyó.
Las preguntas de esta semana trae también recordar y ver hacia atrás, a veces no una decisión sino varias entre muchas que debemos tomar en nuestros trayectos de vida, a veces los cambios no se ven al momento, luego al pasar el tiempo es que decimos , que bien hice al tomar esa decisión.

tomaste recientemente que cambió algo en tu vida?
Una decisión que tomé hace unos meses no tiene nada que ver con conocimientos académicos, fue incorporarme a grupos de ejercicios físicos, primero por terapia porque debía ocuparme para que mi mente sintiera que voy en nuevos aprendizajes, esta vez de otro estilo, tiene que ver con el movimiento del cuerpo.
Desde hace unos años hago caminatas matutinas, solo caminar distancias, en ese momento el objetivo era mover mi cuerpo pero sentía que faltaba algo más.
Cuando mis actividades laborales estaban en su máximo nivel siempre pensaba que me gustaría hacer yoga, siempre me interesó su filosofía, aunque en esos momentos mi pensamiento era que el yoga era solo para relajarme. Pues, en esos tiempos esa meta no la hice porque mis tiempos no me daba para hacerlo. Recuerdo que encontré un grupo, no pude agregarme porque solo se reunían los días jueves, y a las seis de la tarde. Esa hora para mi, era imposible, allí era cuando comenzaba mi verdadero trabajo.
Hace unos meses, en una de mis caminatas vi que realizaban ejercicios y pude ver que era yoga, enseguida conversé con la instructora, en la semana me activé con la compra de un mat, incorporándome el siguiente fin de semana.
Han cambiado muchas cosas, a nivel de mente estoy más tranquila porque he socializado con otras personas, de la misma edad mía y hasta de menos edad, me he integrado muy bien, a nivel de cuerpo hay más movilidad y flexibilidad que cuando inicié.
Paso a paso he ido aprendiendo el nombre de algunas posturas, no solo el nombre, sino para qué esa postura nos beneficia, qué músculos se están despertando además de tendones, ha sido un cambio que se ve, mis músculos de las piernas la masa muscular ha aumentado un poco, los músculos de mis brazos también se ven los cambios. Siempre he sido delgada, ahora mis piernas tienen un poco de forma.
Además de los ejercicios, conversamos de la importancia de esta disciplina, la verdad no es nada que ver con lo que piensan algunas personas, sudamos para lograr los movimientos esperamos, eso sí cada una a su ritmo. También debo aclarar que hay diferentes tipos de yoga, el que practico es el hatha yoga, la instructora que tengo es muy preocupada por cada una, también incluye aerobics, step, resistencia, entre otros. Hablamos antes de iniciar la clase, surgen preguntas y entre todas opinamos lo que consideramos cada una.
Pienso que cambió mucho, en diferentes aspectos. Me siento con propósitos diarios, muy feliz que se ve en mi rostro…eso me hace muy feliz.
