In these inflorescences, the thin, fuzzy parts are the stamens, or male parts. Each stamen has an anther at its tip that opens to release pollen. Despite the tree's beauty and the sweet fragrance of its flowers, many visitors may only see this tree at the end of the dry season, around April, when it is leafless and covered in numerous seed pods. The one I'm showing, in addition to its vibrant green leaves and beautiful, fragrant flowers, also has many seed pods hanging from it.

This tree is the Siris or Yellow Acacia (Albizia lebbeck).
