Let's meet in the Town Square!

The Ecency Community changed it's name.

If you didn't see the announcement in Waves and in Ecency chat, only the name has changed to help make clear that this is a community for everyone, not just for posts about Ecency.

Nothing has changed, except the name. If you were a member of the Ecency Community, you are now a member of Town Square! The only difference is now if you are in the list of communities you will need to scroll down past the E's to the T's. The avatar remains the same.

TOWN SQUARE is a gereral topic community and all of your posts are welcome there. No need to be afraid your post does not meet strict community rules. . It is a space for open conversations, creativity, announcements, and everything in between. The Community Chat is also called Town Square. Stop by chat to say hello or ask a question!

If you want to share a link to your post there is a Post Sharing chat group where your links are welcome. Tell us a enough about your link to make us want to read your post and you may even receive a POINTS tip.

I do not agree with the view that nothing has changed other than the name. Ecency constantly strives to streamline users' everyday Hive activities and introduces positive changes; this new name, for instance, makes it clear that the community is open to a wide range of topics, discussions, and creative expression, without users having to worry about overly strict rules. 😊👍🏻

This explains why I saw "Town Square" as one of the communities in my subscribed list two days ago. I was a little confused but didn't have enough time to get it checked out.

I was surprised seeing a "town square" on my ecency community as I wanted to post a topic some days back.

I was wondering if I was making any mistake, but as I clicked on it , it turned out to be my lovely #ecency community, I then posted and was still wondering what happened.

Thank you for explaining it here and now.
