Green Bay football

Football in Wisconsin means the Green Bay Packers. The entire state turns Green and Gold on football Sunday's. Cashiers in stores wear football jerseys to work And anyone who is lucky enough to have tickets to the game heads to Lambeau Field.

My kids bought tickets months ago to last Sunday's game and drove north on Friday and spent the weekend at the Airbnb they rented. They walked around town on Saturday and went to the game on Sunday

We watched on TV as Sterling Sharp was inducted into the National Football League Hall of Fame a month ago and the addition of his name was unveiled in Lambeau Field. And there it was! It was the first photo that my son sent to let me know they were inside the stadium.

FINAL score!

This is kind of nuts:

The score of 27-18 has occurred three times as a final score in NFL history, and all three games have involved the Green Bay Packers. The sequence of these games is particularly unusual:

September 10, 2000: The Buffalo Bills beat the Green Bay Packers 27-18.
September 11, 2025: The Green Bay Packers beat the Washington Commanders 27-18.
October 12, 2025: The Green Bay Packers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 27-18.

This information is corroborated across multiple sports news and fan community sources discussing the Packers' 2025 season

I'll be watching the 2025 games on TV and hoping for a winning season!

it always surprises me that there are no supporters conflicts with these games unlike the soccer community where there always seems to be trouble between supporters .

I think there are many reasons for that. NFL tickets, concessions, and parking are extremely expensive. The high cost of attending a game tends to filter the crowd. Depending on the game cheapest low cost seats can reach $300. Disruptive fans are ejected and often fined and banned from the stadium.
Alcohol sales are expensive and cut off during the 3rd quarter.
And rival fans are dispersed among the crowd, often leading to more friendly banter.

I have only been to one game in the stadium. It is extremely expensive and I enjoy watching from the comfort of my living room! If you enjoy the excitement of the crowd being there is a great experience.

I don't understand the game, but for sure it is such a popular sports there in the US. Here they are not very common, I don't think many people understand the game.
Compared to soccer here, usually when there are any heated clash, or club rivalry, it ends in chaos among the supporters.

The NFL has done a great job of limiting clashes. Extremely high ticket costs, expensive and limited alcohol sales and dispersal of rival fans in the crowd all help.

Defintely a unique and different feel for football in Greenbay. Know people from there (some season ticket holders) and some interesting stories. Its pretty cool that there isn't an owner and you can even buy stock in the team.

Both my son and daughterinlaw own stock in the team, as do many Wisconsin folks. It does give a strong sense of pride in your team when they do well!

When I saw the football headline, I expected it to be soccer, but it was American football. It's nice to see such passionate fans 😅

Greetings, very good day.
I really liked the images, but the ones of the city, the Lacorte church, I think they are excellent.

Very excellent post! I'm glad you're kids got to go up and enjoy the game. Staying overnight gave them a chance to walk around and get some great pictures. Soquet sure did well for himself, that is one nice house he built. It's nice to see those old places preserved so nicely.

Those stadium benches look very uncomfortable, good thing they invented stadium seats! It looks like a great game and like any Green Bay game the house was packed. Interesting that the score has only happened three times in NFL history, it actually seems bizarre that it has been so infrequent and always involved the Packers.

Thanks for a great post as always!

The dates on which those scores occurred adds to the craziness!

I suppose because seating is outdoors durability is a consideration. And snow shoveling! The Green Bay community shows up enforce when it snows to clear the seating area with snow shovels. This community effort to shovel the stands is a famous and unique part of the Lambeau Field tradition, showingthe dedication of Packers fans.

I had the priviledge of attending a game at Lambeau Field once years ago. Its an awesome experience, great place to see a game. It was the Vikings and Packers when they were both having good seasons.
