Happy Easter Hive and Leo Community!
Happy Easter Hive and Leo Community!
Today is that wonderful time of year where we come together and while the day is set in religious beliefs it has grown into something a lot bigger with joy, happiness and family. Each year we celebrate by putting on a feast with family and participate in our annual easter egg hunt. While we didn’t venture far, we brought the Easter magic right into our own backyard with an Easter egg hunt that had the kids buzzing with excitement and the adults smiling from ear to ear.
We started the day off with easter inside the house setting up rabbit footprints that were flour and a makeshift rabbit print to pretend the easter bunny has arrived while kids were asleep that led to the backyard for the easter egg hunt.
This year my backyard trees had grown a lot more so they were perfect for hiding chocolate easter eggs in which the kids loved searching the foliage for with my youngest laughing at the fact that chocolate eggs grow on trees!
I also popped some onto the fruit trees because we all know chocolate is a fruit! which was fitting and my oldest found it funny.
It wasn’t just about the kids though as Easter bring the whole family together. We had grandparents, cousins, aunties and uncles join us for a relaxed day filled with good food and conversation. There’s something special about having three generations under one roof, sharing stories, swapping recipes and just enjoying each other's company. The dining table was packed with homemade dishes as always the roast lamb, veggies, potatoes, lasagne and of course a heap of Easter eggs.
In between bites and chats we played games in the backyard and took plenty of photos to remember the day. The weather played its part perfectly sunny and warm hopefully no eggs left out otherwise they will melt but it made it even better for sitting outside, sipping coffee or a glass of wine and watching the kids play with their new toys.
It’s moments like these that remind us of what Easter is really about. Beyond the chocolate eggs and the bunny ears, it’s a time for connection. In a world that can feel so fast paced and busy, today was about slowing down, being present and creating memories with the people who matter most.
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter everyone and to all of Hive and Leo, Happy Easter!
